Defense Secretary nominee Ashton Carter says the US is committed to Ukraine’s independence. By that, of course, he means to start throwing large quantities of weapons at them for the sake of their ongoing civil war.
Carter says he is inclined to support plans to start arming Ukraine’s rebels, something which will likely speed his confirmation in the Senate, where a number of hawks hold powerful positions, and have been pushing for the US to get more involved in that nation’s civil war, and indeed all wars.
The Pentagon is already where most of the administration calls for such arms shipments are coming at any rate, with NATO commander Gen. Breedlove leading the charge on the grounds that Ukraine isn’t doing well in the civil war.
The Pentagon is arguing that giving Ukraine anti-tank weapons would shift the balance of the civil war, and would intimidate the eastern rebels into surrendering outright. Others have warned its more likely to coax Russia into arming the rebels and escalating the war.
Carter is trying to present himself as a “independent voice” on foreign policy in the administration, and selling that to the Senate means being more hawkish, as the president has tried to portray his wars as the bare minimum number possible.
Can these "anti-tank" weapons be also used against schools, hospitals, condo complexes, and civilian aircraft? Because for that is what the criminal Poro will use them.
They sure can't be used against aircraft but although nominally "anti-tank", they are rocket launchers that come in handy when operating against buildings or fortified positions.

The significant developments are two. Hollande and Merkel are going to talk to the Ukranians and Putin because they do not support the arming of Ukraine by Obama. Kerry and Biden are going to talk to Hollande and Merkel to try to bully them into supporting Obama. Meanwhile there are two civil wars which begin to resemble the Spanish Civil War of the 1930's in the sense that foreign powers are getting militarily involved. What was it again that followed that Spanish Civil War? Ah yes, WW2.
Hold on "heah"; "supports start arming Ukraine's REBELS?" Did the (so-called) government of Ukraine, and the rebel forces in the east, suddenly switch sides? Or can it be truthfully said that the (so-called) government in Kiev is actually a rebel force, since they perpetrated a coup against an elected government? (And thank you Ms/MR. Committed to Ukraine's independence? LOL, indeed! With every anti-tank weapon, every bullet, Ukraine gets its foot deeper and deeper into the tar baby. It stated with tar up to the ankles at the time of the coup; it will be up to the waste with this development. It is a measure of the sleep walking the Europeans are engaged in to see no resistance to this American imperial take over of Ukraine. But then again, the Europeans are just American puppets themselves. This is a dangerous development, one just inviting Putin to stick it in our ear. Frankly, I hope he does so. The neo-cons and fellow travelers that run our foreign policy need to have their faces rubbed in it. The lobby traitors that corrupt our government with campaign money and the two houses of whore politicians eager to gobble it up need to be arrested and tried in peoples' courts. I say confiscate their property and carry out their sentences without delay.

In Waco it turned out they thought torturing children with gas would encourage their mothers to surrender. There's a masterful dividing effect to this way of thinking: there's a type that really can't say no to firepower/more force as a help to who they root for, and the rest of us aren't rooting for those anyway… So presenting force as a sort of guaranteed quick solution is win-win with the PR cover already established…
