The Obama Administration is continuing to use the imminent fall of the Kurdish border town of Kobani, Syria as a key talking point in the war against ISIS, insisting they are “deeply concerned” about the plight of the town.
At the same time, Secretary of State John Kerry dismissed the concerns publicly, saying that the “strategic objectives” of the US war were to attack ISIS infrastructure, and that the fall of Kobani was “not a priority.”
Whether that’s actually the case or not is unclear, as the US has indeed launched a growing number of airstrikes around Kobani, seemingly making it a top priority to try to slow the ISIS advance on the town.
What happened, however, is that the airstrikes had little effect on the advancing forces, and now instead of admitting failure in those airstrikes, the administration seems to be playing a game of revisionism, claiming they weren’t really trying that hard to begin with.
The White House, while continuing to emphasize its “concern” for the Kurds, just in case they want to take another crack at an ISIS advance on Kurdish territory at some future date, is back to emphasizing just how long of a war this is going to be, and how patient everyone needs to be about it.
Yet even there, the policy reeks of failure, and the White House is openly admitting the airstrikes aren’t going to work at all without their hypothetical “moderate rebel” force, which isn’t going to be ready for another year, at best.
If bullshit were green, Kerry would be an 18 hole golf course. I get it, Kobani's fall was expected all along; the US Airforce campaign there was just practice. Can you imagine what it would have been like if Kerry had become President in 2004. Oy!
October 9, 2014 update; John-the-Clueless Kerry is on duty, as Secretary of State, touring a factory in Boston that manufactures blades for wind-turbines. How fitting that this blowhard is relegated to measuring the volume of air from a wind-turbine against his own. The wind-turbine is going to lose this contest.
I understand ISIS sells oil for about $25 a barrel. So taking out ISIS's financial assets does lessen the competition for Saudi and other oil producers, and for American oil companies.
We been saying it for years, Turkish Erdogan regime is selling its own and syrian, Iraqi Kurdish people to become the new ruler in Middle East. Erdogan regime is part of the Obama islamization/militarization plans when he started the coup de Etta in Libya in cooperation with Swedish, French, Qatari, Saudi mafia. Creation of ISIS is part of that plan, Kerry horse sheeeeit talk is about Turkish Erdogan regime take over now when the USG moderate rebels no longer functional.
The US is sacrificing the Kurds in Syria for the Turks……That is why it is not a US priority as it is our policy. It is very disturbing and upsetting for those of us who know the region. Not so sure ISIS was a part of the US plan; maybe a Turkish one, or from the GCC. The US policy is one of incompetence, not so much planing per se.
Government terrorism to perfection —- A methodical drain on your emotional capital
Just think, a “30 year War” with body counts exceeding 100 bags a day filled to capacity with body parts, a total count for the war of well over a million, a world record in ability to enable Empire expansion.
JK is relax because he knows things are going well and according the plan!!!
John Kerry is relax and getting around the town! Things are progressing very well and as planned in Syria!!!
My second comment! The admins must be out for dinner or on vacation!!
[moderator’s note: Actually it’s your third comment (today). And yes, in fact, we do occasionally get caught up in activities other than waiting with bated breath for you to lay some of your legendary wisdom on us – TLK]
Maybe the Kurds should consider converting to Yazidi as fast as possible.

So, comes now you to waste the readers precious time by expressing subjective emotions totally void of objective facts. Most unbelievable, as you claim to be not only a mind reader, but also an eternal emotions discoverer.
