Rebel fighters from an unidentified faction have crossed the “disengagement line” between Syria and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, capturing an unmanned army post and sparking a clash with Israeli patrols nearby.
The rebels are speculated to have taken the post to provoke Syrian troops to return fire against them across the ceasefire line, sparking an Israeli retaliation. The rebels fled the base before the Israeli troops arrived.
The clash appears to have been uneventful, with a confirmation of no injuries on the Israeli side and no reports of any on the Syrian side either. Settlers on the Israeli side reported hearing multiple explosions throughout the day, though no specific safety instructions were issued to them.
The Golan frontier has been relatively calm recently, though Israel has been increasing its deployments along the line in recent weeks. Most fighting in Syria has focused on Homs and Aleppo these days, though rebel factions remain active in Golan as well.
Controlling its proxy-fighters has become harder for USA.
Many did warn them from the beginning.

At 3:50: USA they "have a secret agreement with the Jihadists: YOU GET THE SHARIA AND WE GET THE OIL"

13:20 NTC people told me, it was the USA who brought in Al Qaida. Libyans do not want the islamists, but the US wants them and is controlling them.

Consider…there's a war in progress on your northern border…with all sorts of actors – all of whom despise you, your government, and your policies. Why would you not have troops along that border to protect your people, your country? In fact, there are previous reports that you have been increasing troop presence along the border. So, according to 2 different Israeli newspapers, Syrian rebels commandeer an unmanned Army post – what are the odds? And no one killed or injured. And the "rebels" are able to waltz back across the border just in time to avoid the Israeli Army.
Doesn't sound feasible to me, given the Israelis penchant for protecting themselves from the encroaching Israeli haters. The bit about trying to tempt the Syrian troops to return fire is probably correct, but I suspect, if this really happened it was Israeli troops doing the tempting. Getting the US to actively participate would be so much easier if the Israeli homeland is "attacked" – those warhawk Congresscritters would jump at the opportunity.
So, count me unimpressed – and seriously skeptical.
I agree with you. It's also quite probable that this was a joint "operation" between the Israelis and their new allies among the terrorists attacking Syria. After all the latter already said that they wouldn't have any problems in Israel attacking Syria while the former are treating the latter's wounded. Both are the worst kind of terrorists: like father like son.
Maybe they were just being treated for injuries in Israeli hospitals and found the post abandoned. They just stopped there for a rest, on their way back to the battlefield.
How many sides funded by the US are fighting each other now?
Can I opt out of having my money stolen by Washington and used to do this? Can we at least vote on the option? Or would that be way too democratic for this country.
