With the month of May coming to a close, the trend of worsening violence in Iraq became all the more apparent. After April being the highest death toll in years with several hundred deals, sectarian violence blew wide open in May.
Antiwar.com’s own daily round-ups from Margaret Griffis tracked Iraq violence counts, and came up with 1,077 dead in the month of May, and 2,258 others wounded. UN death tolls were roughly in line, putting the dead at 1,045. Such a level has not been seen since the last sectarian civil war in Iraq in summer 2007.
Perhaps most troubling is that the toll wasn’t a straight line throughout the month, and that much of the violence came in the second half of May. Signs are that the situation is still getting worse, and May could be the beginning of a trend toward even worse violence through the summer.
There seems to be no reason for things to get better any time soon, sectarian tensions are on the rise and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is following the same strategy of crackdowns that didn’t work last time. The last sectarian blood-letting calmed down only when religiously mixed neighborhoods were eventually all re-segregated. That displacement hasn’t changed, and the new fighting is more regional than local, meaning that barring an actual settlement there is nothing to stop the attacks this time.
USA has INTENTIONALLY organized this terrible situation – in order to rule the divided country.
How happy, rich and well educated Iraqi people could live under Saddam Hussein, when USA did not organize these Shia "up-rises" and wars.
It would have been a paradise as Qaddafi has made in Libya.
But having oil is not a gift for a country, but extremely dangerous. Iraqis and Libyans need to escape their country due to the cruelties of a large chain of war criminals in the US white house.
But also US people suffer the endless new wars they must fight and pay for the interests of the US corporations who conduct media, public information and opinion and governments.
Where is the UN in all of this mass killings? USA England lied to UN.Did UN do anything about it? Nope!
Mission Accomplished
Now why in the world wouldn't Syria want the Americans to "stabilize" their country too?
The longterm goal is that of the neocon-zionist thinktanks:
To Reshape the Middle East. One step is to divide Iraq into three pieces.
The massacres are committed by evil and ruthless foreign secret services to incite a civil war before the final solution is only to divide the different religious groups.
Bingo!!! The plan from the beginning was to get the political minorities within these countries – who in many cases were in fact majority populations (see Iraq majority Shia ruled by minority Sunni) – to demand a democratic process by which they would assume political supremacy and them turn the tables on the previous rulers. And the retribution begins. Maliki and his people want nothing more than to eliminate the Sunni from every aspect of society within Iraq. And the Grand Plan of those advocates of reshaping the ME is to completely destabilize in the guise of democracy. The result is a sectarian war pitting different Islamic sects against each other.
Those dancing Iraqi's. Where have all the flowers gone ? Welcoming "Amurikans" with open arms ? Amurikan death machine only want$ a certain kind of hug$.
Unfortunate, but the Turks deserve everything they're getting for the messes they have conspired to in the Middle East. The ironic thing about all of this, is that by the time the US, Israel and Nato get to Iran they will have "died" from exhaustion. They deserve the blowback they're getting.
