Just one day after his government hinted at a compromise, with Defense Minister Ehud Barak saying Israel was willing to accept Iran’s civilian enrichment of uranium up to 3.5 percent, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a new speech in which he rescinded the offer and issued new demands.
“This is the only way it will be possible to ensure that Iran does not get a nuclear bomb,” insisted Netanyahu, adding that his demands “will not change” and that Israel will accept nothing less out of the Baghdad Summit, which they aren’t participating in in the first place.
Having two sets of book it relation to demands issued to Iran is nothing new, and the US has likewise put on a more reasonable face in certain speeches while issuing impossible levels of demands in others. With Israel now back on the “demand everything” kick and the US imposing yet more sanctions, the summit is likely to begin with considerable acrimony.
Natanyahu is obviously mentally unbalanced.
This schizophrenic moron is creating a mass hysteria that could potentially wreck the European and American economies by drawing the USA into a war that is only supported by the"Israel Amen" corner in Congress and that nobody wants.
When will we EVER hold our elected officials accountable for their criminal and vastly corropt actions?
Wake up America!
Not surprised to hear barking on and off from that corner of the world.
Nathan, do You understand what internacional law, norms really means? O, do you think, that its only for others to obey? And Israel recognize twisted "religious scriptures" instead of laws and rules like others?
What about undeclared, illegal arsenal of WMD in Israel? peter czech
World: Netenyahoo must shut the hell up, turn in his nuclear arsenal, vacate his post. That is the only way it will be possible to ensure world peace.
Netanyahu – this name should be written in all dictionaries, as explanation for the word "czupah". What a great gumption! And nothing about the nuclear force of Israel, a non-signatory state of NPT?!
The interpenetration of the US and Israeli regimes is so complete, so cohesive that it literally is impossible to define the separate interests and strategies that you'd assume two very different sovereign nations would have.
Just the idea of closing the research reactor, and thereby consigning 800,000 Iranian users of medical isotopes to death. Nice work if you can get it.
If the choice is between this a war, which will the Iranian leaders choose? War it is.
Who the fuck does this idiot NuttyYahoo think he is to dictate anything to a sovereign nation? Myself ands I am sure most of the REAL free world are sick and tired of these zionist morons telling everybody what to do while they do exactly the opposite.
Tell me again Americans, why does the rest of the world hate you? For your freedoms?
a bit disturbing that a little bitty nation can make so many demands and the one superpower of the world concurrs
and members of it's own government side with them against the interests of their own country
An attack upon Iran is only supported by the "Israel Amen" corner in Congress? Would it were so.
An illegal attack upon Iran would be initially supported by 98% of Congress, 100% of Boeing/Lockheed interests, 99% of the Evangelicals, 99% of the NASCAR folks, and 99% of the corporate media. The US and Israel are "interpenetrated" totally when it comes to this kind of evil. The moral weight of an illegal attack upon a sovereign country doesn't register on butterfly scale in either the US or Israel..
Oh they'll support any war alright, right up until THEY are called up to go fight and actually get their hands dirty and take a chance on getting killed themselves. It's very easy to be a cheerleader for war when you don't have any skin in the game.
Why didn't he offer to take that uranium off their hands for them.
It was supposed to be given away for 'free', right?
Netanyahoo must be mentally sick to make demands like that. Unfortunately he has big-money supporters whom he uses to corrupt US government, Congress, media and more. He is clear and present danger to world peace and should be removed from his office.
Iran should place all the enriched uranium under Bibi's bed. No one deserves it more and there couldn't be a better use for it.
Israel has no credentials to speak on any matter regarding any nation's nuclear program, civilian or military, and will have none until it willingly agrees to the same international protocols and inspection regimes it demands of others. Any nation who allows Israel to have a voice at any meeting, summit, or discussion regarding nuclear programs of any sort is guilty of gross hypocrisy and is without honor.
