The various anti-Iran sanctions and embargoes had any number of unforeseen consequences like the massive spike in the price of bratwurst for sausage-hungry Germans. The latest round, which effectively cut off Iran from all international banking, is having major consequences.
US companies doing business with Iran, no matter how mundane, are now finding it next to impossible to get paid for the products they already delivered. Redmond, Washington-based American Pulp & Paper, for instance, is owed $3.8 million for raw material for diaper manufacturing. The companies involved now have no way to pay them for those materials, or to buy future materials from them.
From small paper companies to major pharmaceutical companies, this is the common story. Iranians can no longer buy American or European products, and what they already bought they aren’t being allowed to pay for.
Iran’s state-run industries are less affected by the move, with many of them turning to barter deals and transactions in gold. It’s an inconvenience, but not the crippling calamity that it is for Iran’s private industry, which once again is being harmed by sanctions that were supposed to center on the nation’s government.
Bernie Low from "Cash Flow", a market show from CNBC, just announced that the US was giving waivers to 11 countries relating to oil purchases from Iran. We need to find out more about this.
Pepe Escobar, writing in the Asia Times, pointed out that a large number of countries were pushing back against the arm twisting and threats. He also showed how Iran was doing deals behind the scenes to sabotage the sanctions. The stupidity based US foreign policy in relation to Iran is all controlled by the Zionist zealots in Congress and the not-so-secret traitors at State and Treasury. For them, unintended harmful consequences of a stupidity based foreign policy is irrelevant.
Update—That information is now available. The waivers go to Japan, Belgium, Germany, Britain, Czeh Republic, France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Spain, Holland. Turkey also expects to get a waiver.
China, India and S Korea buy 60% of the Iranian oil and pushed back against all the arm twisting. The US is starting to realize they can't play bully and get away with it.
But the Almighty O is not to be bothered by your mundane concerns. Business? What in the hell is that when he has a mandate from heaven to shape the world however his corrupt heart desires. You, peasants, just need to deal with it.
Dont you people worry, Saudi King is in the house and will help out, they buy all left overs from all these little to midsize companies and pay them with what they sell to you people in higher price, yes you guessed it the imported OIL direct from Saudi Arabia, fresh as BP and Shell can get , so not only they making money but they would have something left to give to these little "terrorist companies" in Syria and they even have more leftover to support Obama's reelection.
For Israel, this may indeed be about Iran's (non-existent) nukes. But for the US, it's about the petrodollar — especially about Iran's oil-for-gold program. If China and India are really doing this — i.e., paying for Iranian oil in gold — then you can expect the US to attack. When Saddam and Qadaffi started trading oil for euros, they went on the Washington hit list. The mullahs are next:
"It’s not just that Iran wants to nuke Israel or the US—which he does—it’s the fact that Russia and China wish to nuke the entire international financial system and take out the petrodollar once and for all. The stakes are high. If they are successful, then the US would quite likely be plunged into poverty. Our ability to function as a super power would be largely diminished. Dollar denominated assets, i.e. stocks, bonds, bank accounts, would be immediately devalued as nations around the world dumped the dollar for a currency with real value behind it. Hyperinflation would set in and our military power would become too expensive over night. High stakes, indeed."

I don't get that. The US is putting its full arm into a shredding machine out of its own free neocon will and general public apathy [not to mention that the US dollar's name is mud after neverending welfare-warfare spending], and people still need to read about Russian-Chinese conspiracy theories out of a bad novel? Hint: If the dollar blows, then China has a large amount of writing-off to do.
Welfare spending by the USA is a pittance compared to Warfare spending….
"But after consulting with Amano, the IAEA delegation said it could not stay."
Why? Was the Hotel too expensive? Is the expense counter running? Is Amano retarded? [I would think so].
Unlike those with their loud mouth braying, the US sanctions always affect the ordinary people. People should show those who imposed the sanctions that pharmaceutical products are not used in things related to nuclear or missiles. However, some may have to support the US idea that baby diapers ARE used in shit missiles by the babies, but then again, their range is not long enough to reach Washington.
These zionist have destroyed America. Taking down anything that is moral in America.
That would not take long.
Ha ha ha! Blowback of empire. Love it!
