The so-called “keystone deal” between the US and Afghanistan, one that would cover the details of the US occupation for years and possibly decades to come, is no closer to being signed now than it was weeks ago, and officials are now saying the deal, which they hoped would be finalized by a December conference in Germany, might not be ready until May 2012.
The issue holding it up is an old one: night raids. The Afghan government has been demanding the US curb the practice of launching raids on civilian homes in the middle of the night, noting the many, many occasions in which this has ended with a large number of innocent civilains slain.
But as they have been doing for years, the US is shrugging off complaints about the practice, insisting they won’t allow their desire to reach a “deal” with the Karzai government to limit their tactics in the ongoing war.
Recent reports have suggested that the night raids are an enormous problem, with more than a dozen occurring every night and civilians increasingly resentful of the heavy-handed treatment they receive at the hands of attacking forces.

You can't expect a government that conducts roughly 150 SWAT raids a day on it's own civilian population to cut down on that practice when they invade other countries. The mentality is that If police brutality is good enough for American civilians then it's good enough for foreigners.
Anybody who doesn't work for the US government is a brown skinned heathen now and not to be trusted. .
****** I wonder what the raids were like when the Nazis raided the homes of the Yiddish speakers during Third Reich times ………………… (You know who I am speaking about….. certain words here can cause a trip to moderation)
Did the Nazis execute schoolchildren as NATO (America's Stooges) seem to be doing in Afghanistan?

"But the apparent mass murder of Afghan school children, including one as young as 11 years old, by US-led forces (most likely either special forces or mercenary contractors working for the Pentagon or the CIA), was pretty much blacked out in the American media.
Especially blacked out was word from UN investigators that the students had not just been killed but executed, many of them after having first been rousted from their bedroom and handcuffed.

"The Independent Human Rights Commission said that more than 63 civilians had died in the NATO-led offensive in the past two weeks.
The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation has admitted that the killing of eight schoolboys in a night-time raid in eastern Afghanistan was carried out on the basis of faulty intelligence.
The killing of Afghani Muslims by Western allies continues unabated.
In December, ten children and teenagers died when troops stormed a remote mountain compound near the border with Pakistan.

The victims were all aged between 12 and 18, and were not involved in insurgent activity.

Welcome to the NEW NATO DEMOCRACY…..!!!
We can only hope that the Afghanis refuse to sign on to any "Strategic Relationship" no matter how many fighter planes we promise to give them. All the military hardware is only part of the ploy/plot to then keep trainers and mercenaries there. Think Iraq and that hasn't worked out so well with the Iraqis telling the US military to leave and Muqtada Al- Sadr already threatening to go after all those contractors/mercenaries. The shameless audacity and arrogance is very obvious.
