New York’s Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly confirmed today that the NYPD has a CIA officer working out of their headquarters, providing advice on “espionage techniques” and events happening overseas.
Just in case anyone needs reminding, taken from the CIA.gov FAQS: "By direction of the president in Executive Order 12333 of 1981 and in accordance with procedures approved by the Attorney General, the CIA is restricted in the collection of intelligence information directed against US citizens."
And you can bet that what the CIA agent assigned to NYPD was in direct contravention of that law. But, but…"it was for the good of the country!!!"
Jesse Ventura maintained in his book "Don’t Start the Revolution Without Me!" and in the video in the following link, that the CIA had an agent in Minnesota government (and he infers in other state governments as well). The CIA issued the following statement, "We are federal employees so that, I think, is a little bit off. We are federal employees; we are not anywhere near being state employees.”
The article rightly calls this a "classic non-denial denial".
