Israeli Strike in Gaza City Kills Two Palestinians as Constant IDF Ceasefire Violations Continue

At least 1,066 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed, according to the Health Ministry

At least two Palestinians were killed by an Israeli drone strike in Gaza City on Sunday, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal.

The WAFA report said the Israeli drone targeted a group of civilians at the as-Samer junction in the center of Gaza City and that several other Palestinians were injured.

Gaza’s Health Ministry didn’t put out a press release on Sunday but said on Saturday that it recorded the Israeli killing of six Palestinians and the injury of 16. It said that the bodies of nine Palestinians killed by previous attacks were recovered and that one Palestinian died of wounds sustained in an earlier strike.

The ministry said that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in October 2025, the IDF has killed at least 1,066 Palestinians and wounded 3,445. “A number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.

In recent weeks, the IDF has stepped up its ground incursions in Gaza and is seizing more territory, another clear violation of the ceasefire deal. Israeli ministers have been speaking openly about their plans to take over more land in Gaza, with Energy Minister Eli Cohen, who is a member of the security cabinet, vowing that Israel will soon control “100%” of the Palestinian territory.
