Israel continues with its drone strikes against southern Lebanon today in the southern town of Yater, launching two distinct strikes against vehicles which they claimed, without providing evidence, were targeting “Hezbollah terrorists.”
The first strike was against a car in Yater, and killed one person within. The subsequent strike targeted a motorcycle, and while no deaths were reported in that incident, several people were reported wounded.
None of the casualties have been identified so far, and Hezbollah has not commented on the claim that these were their members. It is not uncommon that claims of Hezbollah figures being targeted go totally unverified, with Israel offering no real evidence and Israeli media reporting that as unquestioned fact.

This was a continuation of strikes from Saturday, which targeted the towns of Taybeh and Blida in the Marjayoun District. There was no confirmation of casualties in these strikes either.
In addition to these attacks, on Sunday artillery strikes were also reported against Kfar Chouba and machine gun fire targeted a nearby farm. There have been no reports of casualties in those incidents so far. Such attacks have been a constant part of life in southern Lebanon, where reconstruction in many areas remains a work in progress over a year after the ceasefire nominally ended the war.
Israel has invaded southern Lebanon intermittently for years, but generally once one invasion ends, reconstruction begins. In this case though, Israel never really withdrew entirely from Lebanon, not really stopped attacking, so in many areas, it simply isn’t possible for people in the south to get back to their pre-war lives.
