Israeli Military Kills 115 Palestinians in Gaza Over 48-Hour Period

Palestinians continue to be forced out of Jabalia and other areas in the north

Gaza’s Health Ministry said Tuesday that Israeli forces killed at least 115 Palestinians and wounded 487 in the previous 48-hour period.

The latest violence brings the ministry’s death toll to 42,718 and the number of wounded to 100,282. The numbers don’t account for Palestinians missing and presumed dead under the rubble or indirect deaths caused by the Israeli siege.

The Israeli military continued its heavy attacks on northern Gaza, where it is attempting to carry out an ethnic cleansing plan, known as the “general’s plan,” to force hundreds of thousands of civilians to flee south under threat of death either by military action or starvation.

The Israeli assault in northern Gaza has been focused on the Jabalia refugee camp, where the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported at least eight Palestinians were killed by Israeli shelling on Tuesday.

WAFA also reported at least 15 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed by Israeli attacks on the town of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza. In southern Gaza, Israeli forces bombed a house near Rafah, killing at least four Palestinians.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Israel on Tuesday and claims he’s looking for renewed ceasefire talks, but the US continues to support the genocidal slaughter in Gaza and Israel’s invasion and bombing campaign in Lebanon.
