On Thursday, the Biden administration announced a new weapons package for Ukraine worth $600 million, bringing the total US military aid pledged to Kyiv since Russia invaded on February 24 to $15.1 billion.
The new package is being sent to Ukraine through the presidential drawdown authority, which allows President Biden to send arms directly from US military stockpiles. The White House said it was the 21st time that it pulled from US stockpiles to arm Ukraine.
According to the Pentagon, the new arms package includes:
- Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS)
- 36,000 105mm artillery rounds
- 1,000 precision-guided 155mm artillery rounds
- Four counter-artillery radars
- Four trucks and eight trailers to transport heavy equipment
- Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems
- Mine clearing equipment
- Claymore anti-personnel munitions
- Demolition munitions and equipment
- Small arms and ammunition
- Night vision devices, cold weather gear, and other field equipment
The $600 million is being pulled from the $40 billion Ukraine aid bill that President Biden signed back in May, but those funds are running out, and the administration has asked Congress for more.
The administration has requested $13.7 billion in new Ukraine aid, more than half of which will go toward spending on weapons. The new request includes $4.5 billion for the Pentagon to replenish stockpiles sent to Ukraine, $2.7 billion for direct military and intelligence support for Kyiv, and $4.5 billion in economic support for the Ukrainian government. The remaining $2 billion will go toward energy spending to support the sanctions campaign against Russia.
Spending our way to Armageddon — with those benefiting (politicans/military vendors, etc) slavering all the way with immense self-satisfied grins — while the mere populace, we luckless bunch of the polloi, pay the tab. As ever. As noted, this is the 15th, FIFTEENTH, tranche of blood money — and the implements themselves of devastation.
Don’t know why the lazy and duped american populace are not storming the federal bastille. It’s time has come
I’m an American and I very much agree…
Because it’s us against the big bad Ruskies. Sarcasm intended.
The US M.I.C has made sure of sales of weapons by not only have Russia as a enemy but China also this will keep them in the luxury they have been accostomed to since the invasion and occupation of the Americas .
What I can’t figure out is why USers don’t create an unofficial side government to address matters of importance. The observer cannot affect the outcome until the observer has an identity.
Meanwhile….US soldiers advised to apply for food stamps.
https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/international-news/north_america/americas-current-economy/food-stamps-for-us-soldiers/
total FUBAR!
total FUBAR!
This article is obviously biased with an agenda. I understand some servicemembers with families are in need but I doubt is 25%. And even if so, then there’s nothing wrong in applying for food stamps. It’s a federal program offered by the very nation they defend so if they qualify for it, let them have it. No shame on this. Shame would be if they are struggling and there are no further assistance. The US takes great care of its servicemembers.
The point of that article was this: “It is a shame that the men and women fighting for our country are surviving on food stamps.”
BS point then.
Based on Pentagon information, but the Pentagon people are lying, right?
The truth hurts, but denial does not make it better.
You gotta be f*cking kiddin’ me, pal.
For how many decades did the Amerikkkan regime deny that the use of Agent Orange had an effect on the soldiers serving in Vietnam?
It took a f*cking act of Congress to allow the Marines who were stationed at Camp LeJeune to sue the US regime for being poisoned there!
I’m very familiar with this; my dearest friend was there for a year and a half before he was sent to Nam. He’s managed to beat multiple cancers; he made it out of Nam alive, but Camp LeJeune goddamned near killed him. I hope his case bankrupts the f*cking government.
I have a friend who served in ‘Nam, who uses walking canes because of peripheral neuropathy caused by Agent Orange.
Yeaaaah , V….”the US takes very good care of its service members” don’t it 😆
I’m sorry about your friend.
I have a friend who served in ‘Nam, who uses walking canes because of peripheral neuropathy caused by Agent Orange.
YOU gotta be f’cking kiddin’ me, pal.
I served for F’cking 26 yrs in the F’cking Marines.
I think I know what I just f’cking said. The US takes GOOD f’ckging care of its troops.
By your standards, and depending what place on the pecking order you are, young enlisted families are not cared for, when young families are food challenged in the richest nation on earth that is a shame, there is no excuse for that.
The other side of the coin, the richest men on earth are American and so are the poorest young military families. What a shame.
Yeah? Where?
In Nam?
At Camp LeJeune?
Or were you stationed in the dangerous territory of Amerikkka or Germany?
My daughter’s biological father was a Marine in Nam and the VA f*cked him so bad it eventually led to his death. DON’T tell me your sh*t-faced lies about Amerikkka giving a flying f*ck about its soldiers.
I couldn’t agree more.
I wonder if “Don” ever had to worry about falling into camouflaged pits filled with punji sticks.
Or had to descend into tunnels seeking their adversaries.
Or suffer from jungle rot so badly that standing barefoot in snow was the only relief.
Or be bedeviled by the myriad effects caused by Agent Orange exposure.
This is the story of Vietnam, and if Amerikkka gave two sh*ts about its soldiers, they wouldn’t have been there in the first place.
We had this discussion last time you brought up my father here. I clarified that he had drug issues well before Vietnam, according to his own family. He literally joined the military because he was in deep crap with some drug dealers. And the VA didn’t cause his death; he died of a fentanyl overdose because he was a lifelong junkie.
Last time I told you this, you claimed not to know. You do now.
I also asked you last time to stop using my father’s death to score points on social media. It’s incredibly hurtful. Now I’m asking you publicly.
Omg, that’s YOU stalking me on AW?
You could have chosen a less stupid name.
And the VA did SQUAT for your father to address his drug issues. I’d haul him over there every few months for a couple of weeks and the drug rehab was absolutely nothing to write home about. You know nothing about it; you weren’t even born.
Now maybe you should head on over to Common Dreams: they love shitlibs.
You urged me repeatedly to visit this site. You knew I DID read it and that I had seen your comments, because we discussed them on several occasions. I wouldn’t exactly call that stalking.
Additionally, I have almost never responded to anything you posted unless you responded to me first.
No, I didn’t.
You seemed properly horrified that I was exhibiting (gasp!) LIBERTARIAN tendencies and called the writers on this site second-rate journalists.
And even called my mental health professional about it 🙄
I have text messages where you repeatedly suggested I read this site. I’m not going to discuss your mental health here.
Or with my psychiatrist, either…he told me I was, quote, “very wise”! 😁
Oh, it was nice of you to call the man who raised you on his birthday yesterday, btw (s)
To start off with as much clarity as possible: I am NOT writing this comment “as” moderator. Antiwar.com’s commenting guidelines do not forbid petty personal bullsh*t.
That said, I hope people will carefully consider whether that stuff makes it more or less likely that people will choose to engage with them and maybe learn something.
The US Army is now recommending that service members apply for food stamps. So, instead of using the funds from the military budget, the government wants to take those funds from a program designed for low-income individuals.
The Pentagon estimates about 24% of enlisted families families are food unsecure.
They are official # and conservative, facts you just refuse to face up to. Manchin made sure the elite, the profiteers don’t have to pay more taxes, but he does support every war there is as long as it costs him nothing.
Young army families needing food stamps is nothing new.
“The US Army is now recommending that service members apply for food stamps. So, instead of using the funds from the military budget, the government wants to take those funds from a program designed for low-income individuals.”
The purpose of food stamps is to funnel taxpayer money to Big Agriculture. That it happens to maybe help feed poor people is a side effect with PR value, not what it is “designed” for.
I normally agree with you but I gotta differ here. Military pay is awful, at least for enlisted, the medical care is dreadful (I have several friends who had terrible experiences giving birth on military bases), and we won’t even get into the whole Agent Orange thing.
Base Pay for an E2 is just $1833/month, or $22k a year. To make what I do as a secretary, you’d have to be an E7 with 16 years of experience. And I am very good at my job and work very hard, but I am willing to bet that it is about a million times easier than being an unlisted number of the military. https://militarypay.defense.gov/Portals/3/Documents/2022%20Basic%20Pay%20Table%20-%201%20Drill%20Pay.pdf
There’s nothing WRONG with applying for food stamps, but people who are employed full-time with the military should absolutely not have to.
“Base Pay for an E2 is just $1833/month, or $22k a year.”
Plus housing or a housing allowance, three meals a day (at the mess hall or as per diem pay), additional pay for dependents, additional (and non-taxable) pay for hazardous or combat or overseas duty, medical benefits, college benefits, 20-year retirement, etc. For an individual without dependents, the $1833 per month is pretty much fun money above and beyond all living and work expenses. Even with dependents, it’s pretty good.
If the soldier is in the field or some war, the meal allowance stops. Many times the housing allowance will not cover off post housing.
The young people being asked to give the most for freedom and democracy get the least for their sacrifices.
Many benefits they used have like the GI bill have been capped. Austerity in order to lower the deficit starts and ends at the bottom.
Just like in Vietnam, the young enlistees or draftees suffered the highest rate of KIA.
“If the soldier is in the field or some war, the meal allowance stops. ”
Yes, because the soldier is fed directly instead of receiving an allowance to buy food himself. For comparison, here is what most people get from their employers vis a vis food:
THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK
“Many times the housing allowance will not cover off post housing.”
There are three types of housing. One is that you (only you, not dependents) live in barracks. That is, more or less, what they owe you. If you show up with a spouse and nine kids, there’s base housing if any is available, and money to help with off-base housing if base housing isn’t available. For comparison, here’s what most people get from their employers vis a vis housing:
THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK
“The young people being asked to give the most for freedom and democracy get the least for their sacrifices.”
When I was in, I always wondered who drummed up THAT scammy bit of propaganda and why anyone bought it. We all thought we were making out like bandits, not making “sacrifices.” I knew people who grew up in tar-paper shacks and said boot camp was the first time in their lives that they reliably got fed. A lot of us were making more money — NOT including the benefits — at the very start than our parents were making after years of bottom-rung civilian jobs.
You experienced the glory days after WW, it changed after Vietnam. A peacetime army during the cold war was different than the all voluntary army, at that time there were benefits for young people like education, the GI bill, VA loans to get a mortgage without down payments and they always knew they could be called up to really fight a real war. It was not perfect but there was light at the end of the tunnel. And yes, the career people were in the military to make a living. They did not see themselves as mercenaries they were patriots because they wore the uniform to protect their country, not big money.
It is true, the army also provided opportunities, civil rights had practical beginnings in the military.
“The US takes great care of its servicemembers” – even greater care US takes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis. Without them, Kiev regime can’t function.
They deserve a decent paycheck not to be humiliated to apply for food stamps, we don’t give any charity without humiliating people first. To listen to Americans they really resent people getting food stamps, they believe people getting food stamps think they are entitled to it, in their eyes, it is charity they really don’t deserve. They really begrudge a hungry child a free school lunch. How shameful.
The shame is that they have to struggle to put food on the table and the US does not take great care of its servicemembers. They need real paychecks, enough to put food on the table. Food stamps, for young military families, what a shame for the nation. Look at the avarice of the war profiteers they choke on the profits and still don’t have enough.
Yeh like the UK with many of it`s service men / women committing suicide or have life long mental issues or they are living on the streets , in my opinion those who join the army I.E infantry don`t put much value on their lives or think much about their families , me my life is priceless , politicians couldn`t afford to pay me the price for to go to war .
This feels like cost shifting to me. Rather than pay soldiers directly out of a military spending budget, the military is raiding the SNAP budget, and thereby hiding some of the money spent on the military from the people who try to estimate how much our military is costing the taxpayer.
Unfortunately, this has been going on for years. https://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/05/24/proposed-food-stamp-cuts-would-hit-military-families.html
The Russians are in retreat and adopting scorched earth tactics as they now don’t seem to expect to own the land they are leaving. So they are blowing up dams to flood the rivers and make advances more difficult.. The Ukraine needs bridging equipment.
Do you read anything else besides the MSM? Christ, it’s like seeing the headlines on Yahoo when I check my mail.
I think this guy’s reading The Onion and taking it to heart, Wars.
Please share your super secret sources that confirm that Russia has NOT in fact blown up reservoir dams and electricity generators. Or are the pics all Photoshopped?
Russian state media doesn’t count! 😘
The US and NATO media does not count either, they are censored but would not admit it. Their journalists sold out, they lost their professional integrity a long time ago.
The Ukraine state media is openly censored, at least Zelensky is honest about that part.
Russian state TV journalists never denied the fact of the attacks against the dam and against the electrical power stations. On the contrary, there are almost consensus among Russian most popular journalists that this should be done in the beginning of the military operation and it should be done on a much more massive scale. Actually, it is difficult to understand why, for example, the bridges across Dnepr river are not destroyed. All NATO military equipment is moving free over those bridges to the front without any problems whatsoever month after month and nothing is done to stop it. It is a very strange war.
that is what war is all about, they hoped that Zelensky would be reasonable, that is not the case so he needs another lesson. But he could not care less, he has enough money and property outside Ukraine, the country and the people are shit to him, he is still a clown who loves his olive green T-shirts. Why does he wear that shitty outfit anyway?
Renate😂
He dresses like he’s headed to the front lines in his too-tight t-shirt and camo pants!
Riiiiiiight 😉
At least Putin presents himself as what he is, in a shirt , tie and coat.
“At least Putin presents himself as what he is, in a shirt , tie and coat.”
So does Zelensky, when he’s not presenting himself in some other way.
Just like Putin does when not he’s getting his picture taken on horseback wearing combat boots, military BDU pants, no shirt, and sunglasses, etc.
There is a difference. Putin on horseback is on holiday. He is also filmed hunting underwater and walking through taiga with a stick. He is just advertising a healthy way of life and the holidays in Russia.
“There is a difference. I like Putin and I don’t like Zelenskyy. Therefore when Putin does the same things Zelenskyy does, ‘there is a difference.'”
Fixed, no charge.
You know damn well there is no comparison. It’s like Zelensky doesn’t have ANY garments other than that OD green t-shirt. And he’s always got that glare like he thinks the t-shirt makes him badass or some such fantasy.
I know damn well that there IS a comparison, which is why I MADE the f*cking comparison.
The difference between Zelenskyy and Putin is that Zelenskyy spent some time not pretending he isn’t an actor on a stage.
Yes, once more there literally is a comparison. So, let’s just say Zelensky likes being in costume more than Putin.
He’s chosen a particular costume for a particular situation. Personally I think he’s overdoing it.
Both he and Putin are always in costume. Putin seems to like to change it up a bit more than Zelenskyy with the hockey uniforms and bare-chested military man act and so forth, but yes, granted, he wears his “actually I’m a respectable politician (if there can be such a thing), not just the chekist thug who picked right when it came time to choose between dueling gangs of oligarchs who needed a figurehead” costume.
Hey, us cowgirls SWOON over that shit!
Putin never forgets who he is, he is a statesman, the clown Zelensky is a well paid stooge.
My point was that he doesn’t post ANYTHING ELSE. Contrary to what you might think, I don’t deny every atrocity reported but I do know our MSM and their reporting sounds like it’s coming straight from the DOD.
Please share your super secret sources that confirm that Russia has NOT in fact blown up reservoir dams and electricity generators. Or are the pics all Photoshopped?
Russian state media doesn’t count! 😘
He may, WRUS, he just probably doesn’t spend too much time on the Russian propaganda networks like you do.
You certainly hate anything here that is pro Ukraine. Have never seen you criticizing anyone with a pro Russian sentiment.
Says the fool who believes Amerikkka takes good care of its military personnel.
I have yet to visit any Russian propaganda networks unless you consider Anti-war.com to be a Russian propaganda network. And if that is the case, what the fuck are you doing here?
😆
When Russia goes down they will take Europe and the US down with them. They will make the Americans take their own medicine like the Europeans already do.
Putin did say, “there will be no world without Russia” You should listen sometimes.
Let me invade who I want or I will destroy the world, is not acceptable, we might as well litigate that now. There are lots of folks under Putin who do have something to lose. He will find the limits of his power.
It seems like quite a few prominent Russians have fallen from windows, drowned on fishing trips, had sudden strokes, or been blown up in their cars lately. I have to wonder whether he’s cleaning house of possible opponents, or some other person or group is knocking off his allies, or both.
One of them an older man seems to have gotten tangled up in a dry cleaning bag.
Where have you been? The USA is invading when they want where they want. All their wars are wars of aggression, war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan, their is Vietnam and the wars of sanctions against nations like Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Panama, Libya, Iran, and little Grenada to name just a few, all war crimes and every president in office is a war criminal. They destroy the countries they attack , that is all they have to show for the war crimes, ruins, blood and tears. Look in the mirror, it is not nice what you see. Uncle Sam is a monster. They do confiscate other nations bank accounts, and Oil, and patents if they can get their hands on it.
The US nuclear weapons are there to threaten other nations, so what are you talking about?
didn’t like that either. I agree, we have a lot of blood on our hands. The pile of bodies we have created post 1945 is certainly taller than the pile of bodies the Russians have created. I still oppose the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
What could be an alternative to Russian invasion of Ukraine? Wait until militarized Ukrainian regime accomplish the ethnic cleansing of Donbass?
Did you ever heard about American military bio-labs on Ukrainian territory? Have you any clue what they were developing? And what about the announced intention of Zelensky to create Ukrainian nuclear weapon? Technically Ukraine was quite capable of it. Ukraine (and USA) crossed the red line a long time ago.
There could have been no invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine with nukes? First I doubt it, second Russia has nukes as well so the doctrine of MAD seems to hold.
Awesome post Renate! 👍
The chauvinism and “exceptionalism” are preventing people to see it this way.
Not sure why each of these “drawdown announcements” merits such front page treatment. There is no “new” money here. All of the money has already been authorized and appropriated, both of which were not only “announced,” but also made into front page stories. These routine drawdowns (this is the 21st one!), are of minor note, at best.
U must be kidding! WTF? 🙂
U must be kidding! WTF? 🙂
And they get smaller and smaller as they go. 36,000 artillery rounds will last Ukraine about 6 days. Meanwhile, the Pentagon is desperately looking for some MIC corporations to produce a minimum of 12,000 rounds a month to replenish its own dwindling supplies.
Because then everyone can work themselves into a lather about it all over again, of course!
There is substantial evidence indicating that the Poles had been participating actively in the formation of death squads in Ukraine since September 2013.
Also there is substantial evidence that the Right Sector militants were trained by Donald Tusk’s government in Poland two months in advance of what was obviously a pre-planned coup. The Polish press even published the role of Donald Tusk’s government in preparing the coup where the Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski invited 86 members of the Right Sector to the police training center in Legionowo. There, they received four weeks of intensive training in crowd management, person recognition, combat tactics, command skills, behavior in crisis situations, protection against gases used by police, erecting barricades, and shooting, including the handling of sniper rifles. Donald Tusk, who is now President of the European Council, whose grandfather, Josef Tusk, served in Hitler’s Wehrmacht, has consistently demanded that the Kiev regime imposed by the US and EU deal with the Donbass people brutally, “as with terrorists”.
While the Polish special services were training the future participants of the Maidan operations and the ethnic cleansing of the Donbass, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs made this official statement (02-02-2014): “We support the hard line taken by the Right Sector… The radical actions of the Right Sector and other militant groups of demonstrators and the use of force by protestors are justified… The Right Sector has taken full responsibility for all the acts of violence during the recent protests. This is an honest position, and we respect it. The politicians have failed at their peacekeeping function. This means that the only acceptable option is the radical actions of the Right Sector. There is no other alternative”.
In this statement by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs we can see that the Polish government (NATO) is using violence (radical actions) as a means of ensuring the Ukrainian politicians fail in their peace keeping functions. Ukraine illustrates the role assigned by NATO to Poland. To overthrow the government of its neighbour state, Donald Tusk resorted to Nazi activists in the same way that NATO in Turkey uses Al-Qaeda (Al Nusra Front) to overthrow the Syrian government.
The Right Sector is a Nazi paramilitary organisation in Ukraine. It was the Right Sector organisation that locked down the Ukraina Hotel in the Maidan. It was the Ukraina Hotel that Snipers were operating from murdering police and civilians. Brian Christopher Boyenger (Ex US Trooper) ran a crew of up to 50 NATO operatives who ran this operation from the Hotel and they were trained in Poland.
Poland is interesting. It wouldn’t make sense to me to agitate for such a devastating war after losing so much in a war that destroyed their country not that long ago. But I’m not Polish and therefore, I don’t understand.
Well, maybe there are a few Poles left who remember that previous war, and who haven’t forgotten that Russia was one of the two states that invaded them at the beginning of that war, and that it was Russia which made Poland into a satrapy for 45 years after that war ended. And maybe they’d like to see Russia frustrated in any activity that might encourage it to pull that kind of sh*t again.
Got it. Frustrate Russia to get themselves nuked. Solid plan.
On the 30th September 1938 the Munich agreement was signed, under which Britain and France gave the Third Reich the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia. “The Pact” about granting the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia to the Nazis was signed by Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, French Prime Minister Edouard Daladier, Germany’s Chancellor Adolf Hitler, and Prime Minister of Italy Benito Mussolini.
Of all participating countries of the League of Nations, only the Soviet Union in March 1938 tried to protest against the annexation of Austria, in the spring of 1939, Czechoslovakia was invaded by Nazi troops. The Soviet Union, which Czechoslovakia had a mutual assistance agreement with, was ready to intervene and requested from Poland to provide a corridor for the Soviet troops to defend Czechoslovakia from the Nazis.
Poland refused the Soviet Union the right of passage for the Soviet army, Poland even indicated they would immediately declare war on the USSR if she tried to send troops through Polish territory to aid Czechoslovakia. Instead of helping the Czechs, Poland invaded Czechoslovakia and captured the Cieszyn region. Poland divided Czechoslovakia with the Third Reich, in what was a preliminary agreement between the Polish Foreign Minister Jozef Beck and Foreign Minister of the Third Reich – Ribbentrop. The so-called “Covenant of Beck-Ribbentrop Pact”
The Soviet Union made tremendous efforts to put in place conditions for collective resistance to Nazism in Germany and made repeated attempts to create an anti-Nazi bloc in Europe. All of these attempts failed. After 1938, when the well-known agreement was concluded in Munich, conceding some regions of Czechoslovakia the writing was on the wall. This agreement made the war possible because of Germany, France, and the UK – the three signatories of the Munich agreement.
When the Soviet Union realised that it was left to face Hitler’s Germany on its own, it acted to try to avoid a direct confrontation, and this resulted in signing the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. The Molotov-Ribbentrop accord was signed on 23 August 1939. Three days later the German army was mobilised and nine days later Hitler attacked Poland. Many historians believe the Molotov-Ribbentrop deal allowed Hitler to start war as he knew he would not have to face the Soviet Union.
The Nazi concentration camps that followed were little more than forced slave labour resources for the rich Western industrialists who funded Hitler throughout the war. It turns out that capitalist ideology was Nazism, it always was, and this is spelled out very clearly in the new Nazi Ukraine.
We however just blame Russia for everything, truth doesn’t matter, we hate them so much……..but not racist at all.
“The Molotov-Ribbentrop accord was signed on 23 August 1939. Three days later the German army was mobilised and nine days later Hitler attacked Poland, and 17 days after that the Soviet Union attacked Poland.”
Fixed, no charge.
I can only repeat what i typed above. What preceded the events was the Polish invasion of Czechoslovakia and the capture of the Cieszyn region.
More recently we see the Polish actions in overthrowing the legitimate government in Ukraine and the NATO war against Russia…….but Russian aggression right?
We just blame Russia for everything, truth doesn’t matter, we hate them so much……..but not racist at all.
“We just blame Russia for everything, truth doesn’t matter, we hate them so much……..but not racist at all.”
That’s Knapp in a nutshell. Which is why he only comments when he can throw spitballs at Russia.
Liar.
Bullshit.
You are right. Truth doesn’t matter in The West even for the opposition. The people were fed with the fakes too long. When they see the truth, they don’t recognize it.
Red army never attacked Poland in 1939. Polish government crossed Romanian border the same day as Red Army crossed Polish border. Their last order to Polish army was not to resist Red Army advance. In Lvov and other places where Red Army units arrived after September 17, they met German military, not Polish. By the way, the new border between Germany and USSR almost exactly coincided with Curzon Line which was recommended as the border between Russia and Poland by English-French commission in 1919.
That’s interesting. I wasn’t aware of Poland’s involvement with Right Sector. This makes hash of the notion that Russia should allow Poland to absorb Western Ukraine in order to “force the Poles to deal with the Nazis” – since it’s the Poles who support the Nazis.
This makes it even more imperative that Russia take all of Ukraine, including western Ukraine, and “de-Nazify” it. I believe this can be done by using the intelligence services to identify the “influencers” in Ukraine who support Ukrainian extreme nationalism and deport them – a sort of “ideological cleansing” akin to what was supposed to be done in Germany after WWII.
Trump left a huge mess after 4 years in office and senile Biden and the idiots he appointed have been increasing the mess stratospherically in 20 months, less than half his term. There is nothing that brings the idiots in office to their senses, if they ever had any in the first place. The idiots are even provoking China because they need another war to cover up the disaster they created. They will not rest until the total global economy will come crashing down.
All of this because BIDEN hates Putin and wants TO PRIVATIZE the Russian resources for the big US CORORATIONS. And the hateful Putin does not roll over, he must go and Navalny take his place. The biggest regime change ever, on a nuclear power to boot. Trump could not do regime change with Maduro in Venezuela but Biden can do it on a nuclear poewer, he will show the whole world how great he is. How proud he is.
Venezuela bad, must be sanctioned, make the people starve, and get medicine and blame Maduro.
Well said Renate.

Only 600 million ?
Cheapa skata
I don’t get the math:
—
announced a new weapons package for Ukraine worth $600 million
the total US military aid pledged to Kyiv since Russia invaded on February 24 to $15.1 billion.
The $600 million is being pulled from the $40 billion Ukraine aid bill
The administration has requested $13.7 billion in new Ukraine aid
—
Is it $40B TOTAL and everything else comes out of that? Or is it $40B PLUS additional monies?
40B plus.
It’s public records/open source.
Forty billion? Is that ALL?
Why is Vladimir Putin so obsessed with Ukraine?
The video failed to mention the Natural Gas and Grain monopoly goals which has now become more difficult to achieve after losing Kharkiv Oblast as this region has vast lands of grains and huge deposits of Natural Gas.

Perhaps the US should just change the name of America to Ukraine and appoint Voldomort Zelensky as the President.
The money would rain down.
I am sure the residents of Jackson, MS appreciate this. Or other states that are in dire straits as to infrastructure. I am so embarrassed to admit to being an American. I voted for Biden. I feel very, very embarrassed.
Unfortunately, we gave Mississippi money and they spend it on a new volleyball stadium for Brett Favre’s kid.
Jackson is 82% black and I have zero faith in Mississippi’s willingness to do crap for that city.
An act of Congress could specifically address Jackson’s water problems via a federal spending proposition.
Oh, but that would take a billion or so away from ZelBoy.
You have lots of company, I never regretted my vote the way I do this time. I will never again vote for the lesser of two evils, I will sooner stay home.
I don’t think you should be embarrassed, honestly. We live in a country without a lot of options. 🙂
We do have options. We’re just too programmed to vote for anything else but “R’s” and “D’s”. One election cycle could do more damage than any kind of “revolution”.
Barny Sanders comes to mind , then he allowed himself to be bought off , , anyone threatening the Status Quo will bought off , failing that a fatal accident .
Work for the highest voter turnout in history and write in friends for every position. Get smart,
Donna, I hang my head in shame for voting for the senile old warmonger “because he wasn’t Trump”.
We DO have options, as noted by Wars; Amerikkkans just don’t take advantage of them.
Voting Third Party is not a wasted vote. The wasted votes go to the D’s and the R’s.
Never again will I vote for either of the latter.
You have the same problem as us in the UK , no viable third party , so what you have is what we call ping pong politics .
Jesse, I just wish more people would realize that there are other options!
I voted for the SEP and plan to write in friends for every position this time.
I have read that many of US States are home to weapons manufacturing there by silencing decent on for ever wars , your not going to bite the hand that feeds you are you ?.
On 17th April 2014 the Ukrainian government signed up to a Statement in Geneva which called for negotiations between the Ukrainian authorities and the representatives of Ukraine’s regions to find a settlement to the conflict. Those negotiations never happened because the US imposed Ukrainian authorities chose to launch their misnamed “Anti-Terrorist Operation” instead. These were war crimes and mass murder…….
Later, when the Ukrainian authorities launched their military offensive on 30th June 2014, a ceasefire was in place and negotiations were underway. Poroshenko broke off the negotiations, unilaterally ended the ceasefire, and chose war instead. These were war crimes and mass murder…….
At the time of Ukraine’s second offensive launched in January 2015 Ukraine had committed itself to a peace process which the Russians had brokered in Minsk in September 2014. That envisaged negotiations with the leaders of the Donbass which again never took place as Poroshenko and the Ukrainians resolved to launch their second offensive instead. These were war crimes and mass murder………
The responsibility for the war Ukraine chose to fight was Poroshenko’s, even though he later admitted Ukraine had lost, Poroshenko et al must go before the ICC and answer for their many many crimes against humanity.
Recently in 18th February 2022 when the Ukrainian government launched another war against the Donbass. This occurred even though they had previously signed up to Minsk2 accords. Again those negotiations never happened because the Ukrainian authorities chose to launch another war instead. These were war crimes and mass murder…….
The responsibility for the current war Ukraine chose to fight is Zelenski’s, Zelenski et al must go before the ICC and answer for their many many crimes against humanity.
The Kiev-NATO illegal regime cannot break the will of the peoples of the Donbas or of Russia and so the constant attacks, the constant propaganda, the constant turning of the economic screws.
These actions are all illegal under international law and the laws of war. They are violations of the principles and articles of the UN Charter. They are violations of several Geneva Conventions and other international treaties. The attacks on civilians are war crimes. The use of prohibited weaponry, in these attacks, is a war crime. The collective punishment of entire populations is a war crime. The use of economic warfare is a war crime.
The US/Canada/NATO and EU leaders should all be included in the war crimes tribunals.
The war crimes tribunals are always bringing to the justice those who are defeated. Neither USA nor Russia can be defeated. There are no sense in punishing the sock puppet clowns.
It is American responsibility to make the world safer. The first step in this direction should be the nationalization of the military industrial complex. The second step should be the recognition of the lobbying as the corruption and the high treason. However those goals are unachievable without the nationalization and bringing under the public control the main stream mass media.
Your next-to-last paragraph also brings to mind another vicious little apartheid nation that the world literally allows to get away with murder.
Great post, Doom.
Let’s hope most of those money will be stolen.
Meet Ukraines mass murderer Dmitriy Yarosh……..
Is the founder and head of Ukraines racist-fascist Nazi party the right sector. He also co founded the fascist Social National Party, renamed to Svoboda by the CIA (meaning freedom) to make it more acceptable to Americans.
Dmitriy Yarosh has been training paramilitary troops for almost 25 years and his divisions are constantly growing all over Ukraine. These divisions carry out the most violent operations for the CIA in Ukraine (including the coup) and most of the country now lives in fear of him, even the nations President has had public threats made against him by Yarosh.
It was Yarosh’s divisions that were responsible for the massacre in Odessa and it is his divisions that commit attrocities in the Donbass, crimes against humanity, ethnically cleansing the Eastern federations. Yarosh hires only proud far-right mercenaries paid by him from funding provided by US government agencies and wealthy contributers.
Ukraine’s Nazi Right Sector contributes enormously to Kiev’s dirty war on Russia. The brutal right sector is there to smash any and all opposition with impunity.
He is just one of the many servants of American imperialism. What is remarkable, unlike British imperialism of the past, American imperialism is beneficious only for the financial elite and for the corrupt politicians. It is financed mostly by American taxpayers.
From 2009 up to 2013, the year the Ukrainian crisis erupted, the Clinton Foundation received at least $8.6 million from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation. Viktor Pinchuk pledged a five-year, $29-million commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative.
That places Ukraine as the leading contributor among foreign donators to the Clinton Foundation.
Critics have pointed out the coincidence of the Ukrainian crisis, which began in November 2013, and the heavy amount of cash donations being made to the Clinton Foundation on behalf of wealthy Ukrainian businessmen. Hilary Clinton was serving as the US secretary of state at the time that the donations to her family’s charity were being made.
So the $5 billion spent on democracy in Ukraine went to the Nazi’s who then gave heavy amounts of cash donations to the Clinton Foundation. Not corrupt at all.
So called lobbying is the legalized system of corruption. It was created by the financial elite to make sure that the elected politicians serve for the interests of the financial elite and not for the interests of the taxpayers. This system is fundamentally anti-democratic. Anyone who dares to expose the criminal essence of it is persecuted ferociously. Assange is a good example.
American version of “promotion of the democracy in the world” really means the struggle against the democracy and promotion of the radical political organizations.

Bogdan Boutkevitch: Ok, you ask me “How can this be happening?” Well, it happens because Donbass, in general, is not simply a region in a very depressed condition, it has got a whole number of problems, the biggest of which is that it is severely overpopulated with people nobody has any use for. Trust me I know perfectly well what I am saying.
If we take, for example, just the Donetsk oblast, there are approximately 4 million inhabitants, at least 1.5 million of which are superfluous. That’s what I mean: we don’t need to [try to] “understand” Donbass, we need to understand Ukrainian national interests.
Donbass must be exploited as a resource, which it is. I don’t claim to have a quick solution recipe, but the most important thing that must be done – no matter how cruel it may sound – is that there is a certain category of people that must be exterminated.
One more candidate for Nobel Prize.
Oleg Tsarev, the man who warned parliament one day prior to the start of the Euromaidan demonstrations in November 2013, who subsequently alleged that in mid-May of 2014, was phoned by the oligarch Ihor Kolomoysky, a friend of the Obama White House, he was told to leave Ukraine or else he would be killed because some unnamed individuals had placed a million dollar price on his head.
Tsarev didn’t comply. (His courage was remarkable: he had already survived a beating by a Nazi crowd on 15 April 2014. Instead, Tsarev became elected to the parliament in one of the two breakaway new republics constituting Donbass.

15.1 billion = $15,100,000,000 written out. Now imagine what that money could have accomplished back home. Or even just not spent to keep inflation down. Instead, it went into the MIC stock portfolio, arms dealers and finally a small portion to real life Nazi’s. Money well spent.
