A Turkish drone strike destroyed a car in a residential area near Qamishili on Friday, killing at least three people and causing more injuries. Exact details are still emerging.
The Syria Observatory for Human Rights reported this as the fourth Turkish drone strike in the area in the past two days. The attacks seem to be targeting cars, but it’s not 100% clear why.
The area is under at least partial control of the Kurdish YPG, so it’s possible their members are being targeted. That would be in keeping with Turkish policies.
This isn’t an area being directly attacked by the Turkish military, but Turkey is hostile to Kurdish groups across Syria and Iraq, and will attack them fairly often even if it’s not part of a bigger campaign.
This is just great… Three Musketeers at work…! Turkey attacked Syria in the northeast…Israel attacks Syria in the south and west… and US steals lifeline oil and food from Syria east…!
These are always the trouble makers…
The problem for Syria is the same, it’s a free for all.
Been that way since Ike OK’s a coup attempt in Syria in 1953, which, is a work in progress.
The same year he OK’s a coup in Iran that was successful. Blemish on the man who was a pretty good president.
