Looking to justify constant attacks on Syria and keeping up a narrative of hostility toward Iran and other Shi’ites, Israel is accusing the Iranians of smuggling weapons to Hezbollah through Syria.
The specific plot in this case is blamed on Sayyed Reza Hashim Sada a-Din, the son of a Hezbollah leader and the son-in-law of assassinated Iranian Qassem Soleimani. He subsequently travels back and forth to Iran and Lebanon, by way of Syria.
That doesn’t prove any of the allegations, but follows long-standing Israeli accusations of weapons smuggling in the region.
The idea is being pushed by Israel’s military’s Arabic Language spokesman Avichay Adraee, and threatening further Israeli military action against the putative threat.
What’s the problem? And why does Iran have to “smuggle”? Some countries can just openly sell weapons to the likes of Saudi Arabia. UAE, Israel, Ukraine…..
The drama queens! Latching on the name Soleimani. Anything that sounds familiar to American ears. So pathetic. Do not know what is more pathetic — Israel drama or our credulity.
Well said!
Israel- “lie, deny, then alibi”…
Why on earth not? Only Israel and its patron USA are allowed any weapons or to commit violence???
But Israel assassinated Soliemani’s son in law. No Problem.
It’s a family affair… I’m not sure what the problem is….
So what? Hezbollah is the only military force in Lebanon capable of and willing to defend Lebanon’s sovereignty against Israel. That Washington, London and EUhave no problem with Israel disregarding Lebanon’s right under international law just goes to show that all their claims about defending national sovereignty are completely hollow particularly in Ukraine.
Waddaya wanna bet Shireen Abu Akleh was smuggling something too, eh? … a dangerous Palestinian terrorist.
