The Biden administration has come under heavy criticism for creating a “Disinformation Governance Board” that falls under the Department of Homeland Security.
The board has been slammed as Orwellian as the board was formed to fight whatever the US government considers to be “disinformation.” According to Politico, the board is meant to “coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia.”
So far, the Biden administration hasn’t put out much information on what exactly the board will do. When asked about it, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki didn’t offer any details. “I really haven’t dug into this exactly, I mean, we of course support this effort but let me see if I can get more specifics,” she said.
President Biden Appointed Nina Jankowicz as the head of the board, who previously worked as a “disinformation fellow” at the Wilson Center and advised the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry as part of the Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship, a program run by the State Department. Jankowicz also oversaw Russia and Belarus programs at the National Democracy Institute, a US-government-funded NGO.
Jankowicz’s appointment comes as the US is significantly escalating its support for Ukraine in its fight against Russia. Part of the Biden administration’s campaign against Moscow includes information warfare.
Earlier this month, US officials told NBC News that the Biden administration has been putting out information related to Russia’s war in Ukraine based on bad intelligence as part of an information war against Russian President Vladimir Putin. As part of this effort, the Biden administration fed several stories to the press that were based on claims the US had no evidence to back up.
So the objective than is to provide information to the public in the best possible light, as opposed to a more complex and messy reality. And insure public support for administration policies.

Describing something as “intersection” is typical in Marxist sociology. This “study” is for people who could never do real university studies, to become an engineer or something else that is useful. You know, actual studies to actually do WORK.

With the creation of this thought control board and appointing this cretin to head the board, the question really becomes as to just how stupid (and powerless) they believe the citizens are and just how blatant they believe their control really is.

Rumors have been circulating for a few weeks that Russia is about to overrun several thousand Ukraine troops in the Donbas region. They seem credible because Biden keeps sending arms, and he is no longer pretending that they are “defensive”. Very soon, there won’t be any doubt about the truth of these rumors. Either there will be mass surrenders and an extraordinary loss of territory, or there won’t.
Additional rumors are beginning to circulate that NATO countries are preparing to seize parts of western Ukraine. Presumably the excuse will be to protect these areas by placing them under the NATO umbrella. But, if the rumors are true, it’s probably going to appear as if the buzzards have gathered to claim the remains. It won’t take long to validate these rumors, either.
If eastern Ukraine falls, it will become clear that Biden’s strategy for winning the war failed. If NATO invades western Ukraine, Americans might see images of the destruction of urban areas and dead civilians. It will appear as if the good guys are doing the same things that justified condemnation of the bad guys.
Perhaps Biden feels he has been misled. Perhaps he realizes that he is about to lose control of public opinion. Perhaps he thinks he can still control public opinion, despite the magnitude of the problem.
I guess we’ll see.
On the NATO invasion of Western Ukraine, rumour does have it that Poland wants to secure parts of Ukraine that were briefly Polish, and Romania tapped to help. However, this comes from Russian intel.
