A Taliban spokesman told The Associated Press that the group raided an ISIS-K hideout in Afghanistan’s Parwan province, north of Kabul. Spokesman Bilal Karimi said the Taliban killed and arrested several ISIS-K members but did not give a specific number.
The raid took place in the city of Charikar. Earlier, the Taliban arrested two ISIS-K members linked to a roadside bombing in the city who told the Taliban where the hideout was, Karimi said.
ISIS-K is mainly based out of the eastern Nangarhar province, and the group has taken responsibility for several attacks against the Taliban in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar.
The US is using ISIS-K as a justification to continue surveillance and launch potential airstrikes in Afghanistan. But the Taliban have said they don’t need any help fighting ISIS-K or any other terrorist groups and have accused the US of violating Afghan airspace with drones.
The Pentagon has said that they will not seek permission from the Taliban to enter Afghan airspace even though the Taliban is now the government of the country.
ISIS-K took responsibility for the August 26th suicide attack in Kabul that killed over 100 Afghan civilians and 13 US troops. On August 29th, the US launched a drone strike in Kabul that the Pentagon initially claimed killed an ISIS-K member. But the strike targeted an innocent aid worker, killing him and nine members of his family, including seven children.
For such a superstitious lot, the Deep State is pretty careless with the name of Goddess Isis.
As if the USA ever asks permission before it attacks anyone, anywhere.
wherever goes the US brings in despair, destruction, suffering.
