Saudi airstrikes in Yemen’s southwestern Taiz province on Tuesday that targeted industrial areas and civilian homes killed at least five civilians, according to the Health Ministry within the Ansar Allah-led Yemeni government.
Yemen’s SABA news agency reported that a Saudi strike on a shoe factory in Yemen’s al-Ta’ziyah District killed at least three workers and wounded eight others. Footage from Yemen’s Al Masirah TV shows casualties being treated at a hospital following the strike.

Later in the day, SABA reported that Saudi strikes targeted a village in the al-Shamayatin District of Taiz, killing two civilians, including one woman. Five other people were injured, including three women and two children.
Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Ansar Allah-led Yemeni Armed Forces, said that there were dozens of Saudi airstrikes across Yemen over the past day. “Over the past 24 hours, Saudi warplanes launched 93 airstrikes targeting civilian areas in the capital, Sana’a, and the governorates of Al-Jawf, Taiz, Sa’dah, Ma’rib, Amran, Lahj, and Hajjah,” he wrote on Telegram.
“These attacks, carried out by F-15 and Typhoon aircraft operating from Khamis Mushait and Taif airbases, resulted in a large number of civilian casualties, including women and children,” Saree added.
The Yemeni Health Ministry within the Sanaa-based Ansar Allah-led Yemeni government said on Saturday that since mid-July, Saudi attacks in Yemen have killed at least 232 civilians, including 68 children and 35 women. The US is providing targeting and intelligence support for the campaign and has resumed refueling Saudi warplanes.
