Israeli Attacks Across Gaza Kill Five Palestinians, Wound 32

The Israeli military has killed at least 1,568 Palestinians in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in October 2025

Israeli attacks in Gaza on Wednesday have killed at least five Palestinians and injured 32, medical sources told the Anadolu Agency, as the IDF continues its relentless strikes in the Strip following Tuesday’s Knesset elections.

Attacks on Wednesday included an Israeli drone strike in the al-Mawasi area of Rafah, southern Gaza, that killed at least three Palestinians and injured 15. Sources told Anadolu that the strike targeted a Gaza government checkpoint responsible for monitoring commercial trucks entering through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA had a similar report, citing sources who said the drone strike struck a facility belonging to Gaza’s Economy Ministry as ministry officials and “representatives of traders were present to process commercial transactions.”

In the nearby city of Khan Younis, an Israeli drone struck a rooftop, killing one Palestinian, identified as 33-year-old Mohammed Alyan al-Bayouk, and injuring three others, including an elderly woman. In northern Gaza, Israeli gunfire killed a man, identified as Mahmoud Samih al-Harsh, 28, in the Jabalia refugee camp.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update on Wednesday, released about midday Gaza time, that over the previous 24 hours, Israeli forces killed one Palestinian and two others succumbed to wounds from previous Israeli attacks, including a six-year-old girl, identified as Tihani Mohammad Saeed Shalalfeh.

Since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed, the Israeli military has killed at least 1,568 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 5,649, according to the ministry’s numbers. The US has continued to back Israel’s constant ceasefire violations even after President Trump announced that Hamas agreed to a US proposal to disarm, a potential deal that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected.
