Israeli attacks in Gaza have killed at least eight Palestinians over the past three days, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, as the IDF continues its constant violations of the so-called ceasefire deal that was signed in October 2025.
The Health Ministry said on Saturday that at least six Palestinians were killed and 38 were wounded by Israeli forces over the previous 48-hour period. Another Palestinian died after succumbing to wounds sustained in a previous Israeli attack. On Sunday, the ministry said it recorded the killing of at least two Palestinians and the injury of 11 over the past 24 hours.
One of the victims of the attacks over the weekend was Mohammed Saif al-Din al-Shakhreeti, an eight-year-old boy who was shot by Israeli forces while playing outside his family’s tent near Rafah, southern Gaza. A funeral was held for him on Sunday at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
Israeli attacks continued on Sunday, and at least one Palestinian was killed by an Israeli airstrike on a car in Gaza City. Footage from Gaza shows Palestinians desperately attempting to put the fire out on the car after it was struck using dirt and jugs of water, and the victim’s charred body could be seen still moving in the moments before he died.
The Health Ministry said that since the US-backed ceasefire deal was signed nearly one year ago, the IDF has killed 1,417 Palestinians and wounded 4,953. Since the start of Israel’s genocidal war, the Health Ministry has recorded 74,016, which accounts only for violent deaths, and several studies have found that it’s likely a significant undercount and that the real violent death toll could exceed 100,000.
The US continues to back Israel’s attacks in Gaza despite President Trump and the so-called Board of Peace recently announcing that Hamas had agreed to a US-proposed disarmament deal.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the potential agreement, and other senior Israeli ministers continue to make clear that their ultimate goal for Gaza is the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population.
