An Israeli airstrike hit a vehicle in Gaza City on Sunday, killing at least two Palestinians, including a young girl, as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal.
According to Jordan’s Roya News, the strike killed a father and his daughter, identified as Yousef Akila and Wafaa Akila, and at least six other people were wounded in the strike.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA also reported that Israeli warplanes bombed the al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City. The report said that multiple people were injured by the attack, and that some were in critical condition.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update on Sunday, released about midday Gaza time, that at least 17 Palestinians were injured by Israeli attacks over the previous 24 hours. On Saturday, the ministry said the IDF killed five Palestinians and wounded 27 over the previous 48-hour period.
Since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in October 2025, the IDF has killed at least 1,344 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 4,464, according to the ministry’s latest numbers.
Israeli attacks have continued despite the US and the so-called “Board of Peace” announcing in July that Hamas had agreed to a deal that would involve the group giving up its weapons and Israel withdrawing from Gaza. President Trump said that since Hamas agreed to the proposal, Israel should stop bombing Gaza, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the agreement, and the US has continued to back Israel’s strikes.
