Israeli strikes in Gaza on Thursday have killed at least three Palestinians as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed Gaza ceasefire deal.
One of the strikes hit a vehicle in Gaza City, and according to the Quds News Network, the strike was an assassination attempt targeting a Hamas spokesman, Hazem Qassem, who survived the attack, though he sustained severe injuries. His companion, Mohammed Al-Fayoumi, was killed in the strike, and several Palestinians were wounded as the car was hit on a crowded street.

Qassem was one of the Hamas officials who attended a press conference on Monday, where the group announced it was dissolving its government in Gaza, a move seen as an effort to get the US to pressure Israel to implement the Gaza ceasefire deal, but Israeli attacks have escalated since then.
Qassem told AFP at the time that the purpose of the dissolution was to “remove any pretexts for the occupation, which continues its aggression and war of extermination.”
Another Israeli strike in Gaza on Thursday hit a group of civilians in southern Gaza west of the city of Khan Younis, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA. The attack killed at least two Palestinians and wounded several others.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update on Thursday that it recorded the Israeli killing of seven Palestinians and the injury of 17 over the previous 24-hour period. The ministry said that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in October 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,092 Palestinians and wounded 3,507.
