Israeli Strike on Car in Gaza City Kills High School Student

Gaza's Health Ministry said it recorded the Israeli killing of three Palestinians over 24 hours

An Israeli strike targeting a car on a busy street in Gaza City on Monday killed at least one Palestinian, a high school student, and wounded several others as the IDF’s constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal continue.

The slain high school student has been identified as Raghad Ashour, who, according to the Quds News Network, was on her way to take final exams when she was killed. Ashour was the only child of her parents, and her father was previously killed by Israeli forces.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update on Monday that Israeli attacks over the previous 24-hour period killed at least three Palestinians and wounded 11. WAFA reported that a Palestinian also succumbed to wounds sustained in a previous Israeli attack and died.

The strikes on Monday came after an especially bloody weekend in Gaza, as Israeli strikes on Saturday killed at least 10 Palestinians, including a journalist and women and children.

The Health Ministry said that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in October 2025, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,024 Palestinians and wounded 3,260. Besides the constant attacks, Israeli forces have also violated the agreement by taking control of more land in Gaza.
