Israeli attacks killed Palestinians across Gaza on Wednesday, including a senior police official, as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal.
Palestinian medics told Reuters that Naseem al-Kalazani, a colonel in Gaza’s police force, was killed by an Israeli strike that targeted his vehicle in the al-Mawasi tent camp west of Khan Younis, southern Gaza, and 17 other people were wounded by the attack.

A Hamas source speaking to Reuters said that al-Kalazani led the anti-narcotics force in Khan Younis. Israel has ramped up its attacks on Gaza’s police in recent weeks and months as it seeks to disrupt Hamas’s control and prepares to potentially restart a full-scale bombing campaign and ground operations.
An Israeli airstrike also hit Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, killing three people. Later in the day, another Palestinian was killed in Gaza City when an Israeli strike hit the al-Daraj neighborhood. According to Al Jazeera, the son of Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya was among 10 people wounded in the attack.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, four other Palestinians died of previously sustained wounds, bringing the total number of people who died due to IDF attacks in Gaza on Wednesday to nine.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update, which it releases about midday Gaza time, that it recorded the Israeli killing of three Palestinians and the injury of 16 over the previous 24-hour period. “A number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.
The ministry said that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in early October, the IDF has killed at least 837 Palestinians and wounded 2,381. According to Drop Site News, the death toll includes 216 children, 91 women, and 23 elderly.
