Israeli Strike Kills Paramedic in Gaza as IDF Continues Constant Ceasefire Violations

At least 823 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed

An Israeli attack in Gaza on Wednesday killed a Palestinian paramedic as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the paramedic, Ibrahim Saqr, was killed by an Israeli airstrike in the Al-Tuwam junction northwest of Gaza City. A woman was also injured by Israeli gunfire in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update that it recorded the Israeli killing of four Palestinians and the injury of seven over the previous 24-hour period. The body of another Palestinian who was killed in a previous Israeli attack was also recovered.

“A number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.

Among the Palestinians killed on Tuesday was Adel Al-Najjar, a nine-year-old boy who was hit by an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. On Wednesday, the Quds News Network reported that the boy was killed while gathering cardboard, which his family uses for heat and cooking.

“We don’t have gas. We collect cardboard to bake, they want to eat; they want to drink,” said Sabreen Al-Najjar, one of the boy’s relatives.

The Health Ministry said that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed, Israeli attacks have killed at least 823 Palestinians and wounded 2,308. Israel has also violated the ceasefire deal by restricting aid and expanding its occupation by pushing the “yellow line,” which separates the IDF-occupied side of Gaza from the rest of the Strip, further west.
