An Israeli strike in southern Gaza on Tuesday killed a nine-year-old boy, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, as the Israeli military continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal.
The boy, identified as Adel Al-Najjar, was killed when an Israeli aircraft targeted Khan Younis. Photos show Palestinians mourning him during a funeral outside the Nasser Hospital.

Israeli strikes also hit Gaza City on Tuesday, where at least four Palestinians were killed when Israeli aircraft targeted a vehicle. A woman was injured by Israeli gunfire in northern Gaza, and Israeli shelling was reported in Beit Lahia and Jabalia.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update, which it releases about midday Gaza time, that it recorded the Israeli killing of one Palestinian and the injury of five over the previous 24-hour period. “A number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the ministry said.
Since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in early October, at least 818 Palestinians have been killed by the IDF, and 2,301 have been injured, more than 3,000 total Palestinian casualties, according to the ministry’s numbers.
Israel has also violated the ceasefire by expanding its control of the Gaza Strip. After the deal was signed, the IDF withdrew to the so-called “yellow line,” which divides the IDF-occupied side of Gaza from the rest of the Palestinian territory. At the time, the Israeli military occupied about 53% of Gaza, but over the next two months, it expanded its control to 58% of the Strip, according to the research group Forensic Architecture.
