Israeli Strike Targeting Police Vehicle in Gaza City Kills Four, Including a Three-Year-Old Boy

An Israeli strike targeting a police vehicle in Gaza City on Tuesday killed at least four people, including a three-year-old boy, as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal.

Photos from Gaza show the boy, Yahya al‑Malahi, being mourned by his father and other relatives at the a hospital in Gaza City. According to the Quds News Network, a police officer was also killed by the Israeli strike, and nine other bystanders were wounded, some critically.

In recent weeks, the Israeli military has frequently targeted police vehicles and checkpoints in Gaza, a blatant violation of the ceasefire. QNN reported that a police post was targeted on Monday night in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, and that at least four Palestinians were killed in the attack.

Other Israeli attacks were reported on Tuesday, including near Jabalia, northern Gaza, where QNN said that a 14-year-old boy was killed by Israeli gunfire. According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, a man was also killed by an Israeli bombing targeting the nearby city of Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update on Tuesday, which it releases about midday Gaza time, that the IDF killed at least three Palestinians and wounded 11 over the previous 24-hour period. “A number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.

The ministry said that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in early October, the IDF has killed at least 757 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 2,111, nearly 3,000 total casualties.

The constant Israeli violations barely receive any media coverage in the US, and there’s no sign of progress on the implementation of President Trump’s plan for the Strip. According to the latest reports from Israeli media, Hamas is still refusing to discuss disarmament until the first phase of the ceasefire is actually implemented by Israel.
