Israeli Strikes on Gaza Kill Six, Including a Father and His Young Boy

At least 709 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed

Israeli strikes killed at least six Palestinians in Gaza on Tuesday, including a little boy and his father, health officials in the Strip told Reuters.

The boy, Yahia al-Bayouk, and his father, Mahmoud, were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Photos and videos from the Nasser Hospital show Palestinians mourning the pair, where the boy’s small body is covered by a white plastic shroud. According to Reuters, Yahia was just two years old, though Turkey’s Anadolu Agency reported that he was eight.

An Israeli airstrike in Jabalia, northern Gaza, killed at least three Palestinians and wounded several others. Later in the day, another strike targeted southern Gaza, hitting the al-Mawasi tent camp and killing at least one person.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that two Palestinians were also wounded by Israeli gunfire in central Gaza, east of the Bureij refugee camp.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Tuesday that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in early October, Israeli attacks have killed at least 709 Palestinians and wounded 1,928. “A number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.

Israel has kept up heavy attacks on Gaza since the start of the US-Israeli war against Iran, and it doesn’t appear that the Trump administration is putting effort into implementing Trump’s “peace plan” for the Strip.
