Israel has sent a message to Hamas through Qatar and Egypt that if three Israeli hostages are released this Saturday, the ceasefire deal can continue, Axios reported on Wednesday, citing a senior Israeli official.
The position is a climb down from a day earlier when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared to back President Trump’s threat that if all remaining hostages aren’t released by Saturday, the ceasefire deal would be over, and Israel would restart its genocidal war.
Netanyahu didn’t specify how many hostages he wanted to be released, but Israeli officials speaking to the media said Israel was demanding they all be freed. But under the deal, only three are supposed to be released on Saturday.

Hamas announced on Monday that it was postponing the Saturday hostage release, citing Israeli ceasefire violations, claims Israeli officials have acknowledged were accurate. Hamas has said Israel has not lived up to its commitment to allowing sufficient aid into Gaza, and one particular issue is over the lack of tents and mobile homes.
Abubaker Abed, a Palestinian journalist in Gaza, said on Wednesday that Israel was allowing more temporary structures into the Strip. “Thousands of tents and caravans have entered Gaza. The situation is becoming more stable, and aid has been flowing in consistently over the past hours,” he wrote on X.
Abed added, “The ceasefire will likely hold as Hamas gears up to release the three Israeli prisoners on Saturday in exchange for dozens of Palestinian hostages. Israel is beginning to allow a surge of aid instead of a trickle.”
A Hamas official, Mahmoud Merdawi, also suggested the hostage release on Saturday may go as planned, saying there were “positive signals” in that direction.
Despite the apparent progress, Israel continues to kill Palestinians in Gaza. At least one Palestinian was killed, and several were wounded by an Israeli drone attack in Rafah.
The latest Israeli drone strike brings the total number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire was enacted on January 19 to 93. Gaza’s Health Ministry said another 24 have died due to previously sustained wounds.

While the media goes crazy over 3 emaciated Israelis.
They never show Palestinian hostages returned, who look far worse.
If they didn't show them, how do you know?
Also, since they are now in Hamas custody, you have to wonder why Hamas doesn't counter the PR blow by showing some thin Palestinians.
I saw them because people posted their own photos.
It is not reported by legacy media because it doesn’t fit the narrative.
But you knew that.
Unfortunately the tables are not equal. The "war' and warring "armies" are vastly different.
But you knew that
I wonder if they still have the electrified steel rods still stuck up their asses. But sure, the Israeli's treated them like kings. And why would Hamas need more PR when our sitting president said Gaza is unlivable and looks like a demolition zone.
The western media wouldn't post such a thing from Hamas. Hamas has no control over the western media.
"Western news outlets, such as BBC, CNN, Sky News, MSNBC, Fox News — and others that are frequent sources of news in New Zealand — “tended to rely overwhelmingly on Israeli and pro-Israeli sources,” he told Al Jazeera.“Palestinian sources were mostly neglected as were pro-Palestinian sources"

They look no worse than Gaza's living Palestians and alot better than the 60-200K dead, particularly the children with sniper bullets in their heads.
It was the Israelis who either denied food trucks in or when they did arrive a bunch of Israeli thugs destroyed them, ripping boxes apart and stomping on the food. The regular media does not show those videos.
"Is it not (the case) that every time they make a covenant, some party among them throw it aside? In fact, most of them are faithless."

Yep, that's been our experience with Netanyahu and company.
Please. Hamas felt they had the upper hand and so they said that they would not release the hostages as planned. Their bluff was called and like the cowards that they are who kidnap babies and old women, they had to back down. They’ll have to wait a few more days for their 72 virgins.
You can't be serious…
You still beleive the religious Right's talking points about 72 virgins and Palestinians being baby killers? None of this stuff you have been fed is true but then most Evangelicals also believe that Islam is the religion of Satan and only Christianity is the "true" religion of the globe.

You’re using MEMRI as some sort of credible source?! 😂😂. What’s next, quotes from FDD or JINSA?
Are you saying that it’s mistranslated? Because I can see his lips moving and he’s saying stuff. Just because you don’t like what you hear doesn’t make it untrue

No, Hamas had a legitimate complaint. Israel repeatedly violated the cease fire. If Hamas had violated the cease fire, Israel would be dropping 2,000 lb. bombs on the rubble as we speak.
Their bluff was called and like the cowards that they are who kidnap babies and old women, they had to back down.
Whereas Israeli's put bullets in babies and old women's heads.
Report: Israel Says Gaza Hostage Deal Can Continue If Hamas Releases Three on Saturday
Another resistance victory for Hamas…! The criminal minister bluff didn't go anywhere…!
It’s every man’s war that keeps us apart, with stalwart convictions and affairs of the heart… To struggle for victory, until we are free… The day will soon come, when we’ll all be released!…” djv
So now what's Trump going to do? He wanted all the hostages released by Saturday or all hell would break lose.
Looks like Bibi is not too keen about Trump taking over Gaza adn totally owning it and controlling it.
"Deal" on or off, Israel will continue killing every day, and sooner or later will launch a bigger attack.
We need a permanent solution, and that will now require an end of the Israeli regime. Likely that means regional war, where Turkey and Iran meet Israel on the fields of Syria and Lebanon.
The critical aspect of President Trump's plan for Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon to accept more Palestinians is that after their governments and economies are ruined and a mass depopulation event is completed, The Greater Israel Reclamation project becomes easier to facilitate.
One can assume those nations will be redeveloped similarly to Mr. Trump's envisioned plans for Gaza and the West Bank.
It's not difficult to comprehend why Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has refused to meet with President Trump.
According to U.S. media, the destruction of Gaza was an act of divine power.
