Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that he’s spoken with President-elect Donald Trump three times since his election victory last week and that they were on the same page on Iran.
“These were very good and important conversations,” Netanyahu said. “We see eye to eye on the Iranian threat in all its components and the danger it poses. We also see the great opportunities that Israel faces, in the field of peace and its expansion, and in other areas.”
Netanyahu was one of the first foreign leaders to call Trump on his election victory and is likely trying to influence the president-elect to continue providing support for Israel’s military operations in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and the West Bank.
A senior Israeli official told Axios that Netanyahu is sending one of his top aides, Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, to Mar-a-Lago this week. Dermer is also meeting with Biden administration officials in Washington, but Israeli media said the real purpose of the US trip was to hold talks with Trump and his advisors.
Trump has vowed that he will strongly support Israel when he returns to office, as he did in his previous administration, and has accused President Biden of abandoning the Jewish State despite the fact that the Biden administration has provided more aid to Israel than any other in US history.
Trump has said Israel has to “finish the problem,” referring to the genocidal campaign in Gaza. According to a report from The Times of Israel, Trump has told Netanyahu that he wants the war to be over by the time he returns to office by January 20, 2025. However, one of the Times’ sources stressed that Trump wasn’t specific in his appeal to Netanyahu and could well back “residual” Israeli military activity in Gaza.
The president-elect also recently spoke with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and told him he wants to work to end the war in Gaza.
And every time, he ended “and don’t forget to help us attack Iran.”
Mr. Trump has wanted to attack Iran for a long time.
Trump may forgive but he rarely forgets.

I hope you're right but I doubt you're right. Adelson backed Trump for a reason.
Let's be frank, could it possibly get any worse for the Palestinians under Trump then what they've experienced during the Biden-Kamala regime? At least with Trump they have a hope of a change in policy.
That’s true, although I wouldn’t blame Harris as such, she’s been totally irrelevant in terms of actual policy these four years and she could not detach herself from her Zionist oligarchic backers nor the official “Biden” (Blinken) administration’s policies. She made a wink to anti-Zionists at the very last leg of her campaign but it was clearly a case of “too little, too late, nobody really noticed”.
Yesterday I got wind of the White House suddenly demanding that Israel stops the worst aspects of Gaza genocide in a week… or else they would impose an arms embargo (which would be a liability for Trump, because legal mechanisms would have been activated). I was perplex because that would have probably saved Harris’ campaign if done a month or two ago (I suspect it’s related to the removal of Gallant, whose presence as Minister of War was a bit unexplained in terms of internal Israeli politics and may have been imposed by Blinken to some extent).
Trump will be a puppet almost as much as Biden anyhow: he has no idea of international/imperial politics and his policies will be thus determined by others who know what they’re doing. Who exactly I’m unsure at this stage but his backer Ms Adelson is definitely the worst when it comes to extremist genocidal Zionism, while another character that has come about in the conversations I’ve had is another presidential in-law (nepotism all around with Trump it is) who is a Christian Lebanese speculator with interests in North and West Africa (unclear where but I’ll guess that the hyper-corrupt pro-Israel Egypt and Morocco are part of them). It’s characters like this guy, much like Kushner previously (or Netanyahu himself, who has a too good personal relation with Trump), who will determina what ignoramus and erratic Trump does in that labyrinth of countries he knows almost nothing about that is the Middle East.
When she was anointed, I thought back to the primary in California when she came in fourth. Fourth!
Then she compounded things by answering a question if she would do anything different than the Biden administration, she said, "Not that I can think of"
Total idiot.
Why would the Palestinians have any hope for a policy change under Trump? Has he said ANYTHING that would give them that hope? But if he doesn't you can keep going back to it's not any worse than what they've experienced under Biden/Harris.
Hey we agree on something, that is rare.
The answer to your question is: Yes it can get worse. Can the Trump policy change? Sure, but the question is what direction? Very possible that the Trump will be more pro-Israel.
How can it get worse? The IDF are blowing up Palestinian civilians as fast as they can as it is.
Mr. "finish the job" Trump will not counter Mr. "kill them all" Netanyaho. There will be no turning off the money and weapons spigot.
Mr. Biden could cause problems by proposing a resolution to it. Hr is still POTUS until 20/1/2925
Dude! He was about to hire TWO DEVILS WHO STABBED HIM IN THE BACK REPEATEDLY. I don't know who reminded him, but I'm sure it wasn't his own memory. …Sorry. Did I forget to mention, REPEATEDLY!?
Who are the two you are talking about?
Nickey and Mickey
I hadn't read down far enough to see that article. I saw that over the weekend elsewhere. My first thought was "great" but then I realized he didn't really eliminate them from consideration based on their warmongering credentials. I knew Haley was toast. But I thought Pompeo might be brought back. But I understand Trump was told Pompeo is too connected to the deep state. And as we all know, Trump doesn't like the deep state. He wants to replace it with something similar but with just one man. Guess who that man might be?
Mr Trump knows that the "deep state" has its best interests in force. Always. Even he cannot deviate too far from the "message".
Pompeo stabbed Trump in the back many times in several appearances recorded on video and played all over YouTube.
As I recall, John Bolton said in his book that during a cabinet meeting where Trump was bloviating, Pompeo passed a note to him saying “He is so full of shit.” Trump doesn’t read books, but someone who does passed that little tid bit on to Trump I am sure.
That's from almost 3 years ago. Obviously, if Bibi has talked to him 3 times already, "fuck him" wasn't part of the conversation. Vance is VP. RFK is going to be part of his administration. That's two that talked shit about Trump and kissed his ass into being on his good side.
It seems the crime minister begging period has just started…!
Well said netman, well said.
It never stopped.
There's a lot of speculation about Trump this, Trump that. But what we all know is that Netanyahu and Trump are extremely good friends, that Adelson (a rabid ultra-Zionist oligarch) was a major backer of Trump's campaign, and that it was Trump who ordered extremist pro-Zionist moves such as the movement of the embassy to Jerusalem.
Netanyahoo and Jared Kushner were extremely good friends. But Jared Kushner is no longer in the Trump administration. Both Bibi and Jared thought Trump was so over. They miscalculated.
I was reading yesterday about Kushner in Sahrawi media (ECS), which cited Israeli analyst Ben Yishai and this one argues that, while Kushner was important in some issues (Abraham Accords, embassy move to Jerusalem, recognition of the annexation of parts of Syria), the direct friendship Trump-Netanyahu was crucial in other decisions, notably the abandonment of the Iran nuclear deal. Kushner was also decisive in the US recognition of Moroccan imperialist annexation of West Sahara, which is related to the Abraham Accords (Arab normalization with Israel, which Morocco has been extremely dedicated to anyhow).
ECS goes a bit beyond that Israeli “analysis” (which I’m not sure we must believe too much in the fine detail: I really don’t trust anything Israeli at all unless it is pro-Palestinian, i.e. anti-racist, which is very ‘rara avis’) and claims that Trump tends to avoid foreign military compromises, while Netanyahu pushed him towards more aggressive behavior.
What worries me is not so much his ministers (which Trump picks) but his backers (who pick Trump and make him “great again” with their money). Among them and most importantly in terms of key financing of his campaign is Ms Adelson, who is a most extremist Zionist. Why would Adelson support Trump vs the ultra-Zionist Biden administration if he’s not 200% compromised with the most extremist Zionism?
I have zero hope for Trump bringing any peace to the Middle East, in fact he doesn’t seem to have much idea of what he’s doing in terms of international politics at all, and thus he will be manipulated even more than Biden by his backers and allies (which include another ultra-Zionist: Kennedy, and that guy, unlike the others, has a brain over his shoulders). Even in Ukraine I have more hope for ending the war on the actual military achievements of Russia than on whatever Trump does.
One of the problems the US has is that at least 50% (surely much more) of its politics at presidential level is international/imperial, while the President is chosen 95% on domestic issues (on which he/she has very little influence on). The result are “leaders” like Trump, who are erratic, poorly educated on what really matters, that therefore erode the US Empire and cause unnecessary trouble all around, largely because of inner political “need” of beating chest (pretending to be “strong” instead of being constructive, which may be less impressive). In the end it’s often the Secretary of State who actually leads the Empire (and that’s maybe why Hillary Clinton was removed from the 2nd Obama administration: too aggressive).
Trump owes Mrs Adelson and Elon Muck some credits. Like he said, "promises made, promised kept".
According to Col. Lawrenc Wilkerson, it is the Chief of Staff (in the current case, Suzie Wiles) who runs the show. Now that she will be with him beyond the time she was with him during the campaign, we will see if she can control things and Mr Trump.
I’ve read (ECS) that the top character is Lara Trump, his daughter in law by Eric but then I’ve been told in another conversation that his son in-law (by Tiffany) Michael Boulos, who is Lebanese, will take the role of Kushner in Middle East policy. I guess that the Chief of Staff keeps the team coherent but policy, especially foreign policy, seems rather to be dictated by other characters. We’ll see.
I just looked who’s the Chief of Staff of Biden but it’s the first time I hear of him: some Jeff Zients.
Did you just say that Trump's son in law doesn't have anything to do with Trump any longer? Israel is in the White House, again.
Israel is in the White House, still.
Fixed.
Yes, I meant again in the continuous sense.
Jaren is too busy drawing up plans for the million dollar homes on the Gaza shores.
If Trump wants the war over by the time he gets inaugurated, it just shows how utterly stupid he is. Look at that statement: this is the guy who will be controlling the nuclear football for the next four years.
Happy now?
If he gets inaugurated…!
Any reason to believe he won’t?….
Even if he doesn't there's Vance who appears to be equally pro-zionist. A few months back said Iran "needs a punch."

Where does Trump stand on Iran, or more important where do the neocons stand on Iran? To end the Ukraine slaughter would free Russia to support Iran. Is that what Trump wants? Netanyahu started wars all around Israel, and the USA /Israel want another war with Iran on top of it? Are they that insane?
The MIC is insanely gobbling up our tax dollars. That is what is insane. The rest is pure planning by "think tanks". Ain't that an oxymoron………….
I didn't know you could have a conversation, when one's head is up the as of the other. Maybe if both their heads are stuck up the rears of the other at the same time, they could hear each other. Two War Criminals, ruling America, how lucky the world is.
Trumps pick for UN ambassador: Elise Stefanik.
Elise Stefanik = Nikki Haley 2.0
Pompeo wearing a skirt.
In high heels.
Whoever thought that Trump would end the wars? That would be contrary to everything he did while president. Making war by way of deception… That's the Zionist way of war and Trump is completely on board with that. You can't believe a word he says. The Old Testament god of vengeance and wrath must be laughing his ass off.
Yeah, my ears are ringing from his laughing.
An EYE TO AN EYE may make the entire world blind! Oh, sorry, false alarm. The world is already blind.
Eye for an eye, makes people blind…….Ghandi
So far, Benjamin Netanyahu is the greatest state criminal of the 21st Century.
But the century is still young and others will join him.
Humanity will not survive on this planet with such people in charge.
Make that the greatest criminal state of history…!
Nonsense
Whether Trump or Biden, they are both pathetic manifestations of American military, moral and economic decline. Americans are hopelessly caught between two faces of the same coin. Israel is begging for a ceasefire right now and the American deep state is figuring out how to extricate Israel from this mess while still managing to screw the Palestinians. Trump will do what serves his ego. He supports Zionism until its a liability for him. The issue is simply will this war expand or can the Trump administration contain it before it's too late.
