Ukraine on Wednesday received a $1.15 billion tranche of direct budgetary aid from the US that’s disbursed through the World Bank.
The budgetary aid the US has been providing Ukraine funds government services and salaries, subsidizes small businesses, pays farmers, and provides other types of economic support.
According to Ukraine’s Finance Ministry, the country has received $10.9 billion in direct budget support from the US in 2023. Since Russia invaded in February 2022, the US has provided Ukraine with a total of $22.9 billion in budgetary aid.
Earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal reported that the US was running out of money to fund the Ukrainian government. The report said after the $1.15 billion tranche was disbursed for the month of October, there would be nothing left.
Congress is expected to authorize more Ukraine aid soon, but if there’s a long delay, it’s not clear how Ukraine will be able to fund its government. The EU is providing significant economic assistance but has acknowledged it cannot fill the gaps that would be left if US aid dried up.

COVID has killed almost 1.2 million Americans (Last updated: October 14, 2023). I don’t know the age distribution, but we do know that the elderly are most vulnerable and therefore deserve to die.

Last year, CDC revised its COVID death statistics downward by 72,000 after a “coding error.” And tries to make clear that its statistics are based on state and local reporting which can vary widely in quality and accuracy.
But it’s safe to say that a lot of people died of COVID.
The number I provide is from Oct. 14, 2023 and no doubt includes that correction that may or may not have occurred.

Here’s what happened after the US-backed junta overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine in February 2014.
Natural gas production was so inexpensive in Ukraine that gas companies could provide gas to their domestic consumers at a cost well below European standards and still generate enormous profits for gas companies like Burisma. The IMF saw an opportunity for the Ukrainian government to create revenue by collecting a tax that would raise Ukraine’s gas prices to a level comparable to other European nations.
The Rada passed a law taxing gas, which raised consumer prices many times its previous price. Burisma passed the increase along to its customers. Mykola Zlochevsky, the CEO of Burisma, intended to keep the additional proceeds as profit, but the courts ordered Burisma to pay the use tax to the Ukrainian government. Instead of going into the Ukrainian treasury, President Petro Poroshenko deposited the funds into an account under his control, which he used to pay for his select projects. Zlochevsky was furious with Poroshenko for stealing the money that Zlochevsky wanted to steal. Poroshenko suspected that Zlochevsky was misreporting gas sales to underpay the use tax and had Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin begin an investigation. Zlochevsky wanted to complain, not to the Rada, but to the Democrats who controlled the Rada. Fearing that Poroshenko would have Vice President Biden’s backing, he devised a plan to secure Biden’s support and eliminate Shokin. One way to disguise bribes is by putting recipients on the Corporate Board of Directors. Shokin discovered that Burisma was paying political figures, including Joseph Cofer Black, Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, and former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski, between 50 and 150 thousand dollars per month for being on Burisma’s board of directors, which was illegal under the Ukrainian tax code.
When Zlochevsky found out about the investigation, he demanded that Hunter secure Joe Biden’s intervention. Joe flew to Kyiv and ordered Poroshenko to fire Shokin. Joe said, if you don’t fire him by the time I leave, you won’t get the billion dollars, and “Son of a bitch, he was fired.” Zlochevsky paid Hunter and Joe $5 million each.
Vice President Biden secured billions of dollars from the US Treasury and the IMF for Ukraine. The Ukrainian government deposited the funds in PrivatBank, Ukraine’s largest bank. In December 2016, a central bank investigation (backed by the IMF) revealed that PrivatBank had $5.5 billion in missing funds, and Ukraine nationalized Privatbank.
Ukrainian prosecutors found that Kolomoisky , one of PrivatBannk’s owners, laundered the money as loans to 246 shell LLCs. Employees of WireLogic Technology AS and Digitex LLP, who facilitated the transactions, stated at an Interfax conference that the Democrats took 70% and paid Kolomoisky 30% as a fee for laundering. Prosecutors discovered that the Democrats had a large tranche of money (several billion) transferred to a Franklin Templeton hedge fund.
Democrat Corruption in Ukraine provides a large share of the dark money Democrats have used to hire leagues of lawyers, fund the campaigns of Secretaries of State, bribe politicians and judges, hire thousands of ballot counterfeiters and traffickers, and overthrow the United States government. The Democrats depend on corrupt revenue streams to maintain their stranglehold on our government. If we stop the illegal flow of taxpayer money to Democrats, we will end their tyranny.
