The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday that Western officials knew Ukrainian forces didn’t have enough training or equipment for their counteroffensive but hoped they would be able to break through anyway.
The report reads: “When Ukraine launched its big counteroffensive this spring, Western military officials knew Kyiv didn’t have all the training or weapons—from shells to warplanes—that it needed to dislodge Russian forces. But they hoped Ukrainian courage and resourcefulness would carry the day. They Haven’t.”
Leading up to the Ukrainian counteroffensive, which was launched in June, the Discord leaks and media reports revealed that the US did not believe Ukraine could regain much territory from Russia. But the Biden administration pushed for the assault anyway, as it rejected the idea of a pause in fighting.
Ukrainian forces have struggled to push through Russia’s defenses, which include vast minefields, resulting in heavy Ukrainian armor losses in the first few weeks of the counteroffensive. US officials speaking to The New York Times and The Washington Post have blamed the lack of success on Ukraine, saying Ukrainian forces are not using the “combined arms” tactics they learned from NATO countries.
But the Journal report noted that the US and its Western allies would never launch an offensive without air superiority, something Ukraine doesn’t have. Despite the situation on the battlefield for Ukrainians, the US wants Ukraine to try to push harder to break through against Russian forces regardless of the risk of major casualties.
The Journal report said that the prospect of a stalemate and long war would require the US and its allies to provide a “huge new infusion of sophisticated armaments and more training to give Kyiv a chance at victory.”
It was a suicidal counteroffensive…! Still is….!
Either way they’re all going to die… Still are!
Yep. The Ukrainians will die defending their land.
Russians will die for Putin’s ego.
Scattering cluster bombs and depleted uranium… That’s defending their land?
It is. Killing the invaders is part of that goal.

No – my method is correct. You’d be the first one OUT in a spelling bee.
It’s not.
Petulant little brat, aren’t you?
I seem to be getting under your skin though, right?
So, what happens when the invaders are driven out? More Ukrainian deaths and cancer victims for many years to come. Part of the goal?
Victory and freedom — like they want.
We helped overthrow their previous freedoms when we helped/instigated/funded the overthrow of the democracy in Ukraine in 2014.
We didn’t.
As free as they were before? When their infrastructure was intact? When their population was intact? I won’t even talk about their corrupt government. Just imagine how much more death will have to happen before the pipe dream of driving Russia completely out of Ukrainian territory, including Crimea, happens. And just think if they actually end up with something worse than what they could have had pre-invasion or early on in the war when there were negotiations going on. Not facing that possible reality has to be the only reason you want the war to continue.
Russia is trying to get the word out that soldiers who surrender will be treated humanely. A few times in the last month, entire AFU units have surrendered. Perhaps that will catch on.
The only thing they have to fear is getting shot in the back.
Any support for your claims? No? (I didn’t think so.)
This happened today.

Successful counteroffensive, so far. You shouldn’t buy into the propaganda. Ukraine IS advancing — albeit slower than the US/NATO are satisfied with but they ARE advancing.
LOL You truly represent the fat, dumb, poorly educated rubes that soak up every Neocon lie and MIC piece of propaganda. Laughable …..
Are you able to retort without a feeble attempt at insult?
So, you admit to being a troll. Commenting on this article while obviously ignoring or refusing to read what it says.
Depending on you point of view, we’re all trolls. I read it and commented.
So, in this case, you are the troll.
If you take the opposite opinion you would consider me a troll. Calling someone a troll shows you really don’t have an argument.
Just the location. You even accused us of being “tankies”.
You guys ARE the definition of tankies. If you come up with a name that defines me, I’ll be the first to embrace it. Have fun!
A name has already come up. Troll. You’re the ultimate definition of one. We just like feeding you for entertainment purposes.
I’m done feeding it.
Idiot? Warmonger? Liberal Interventionist? Neocon?
Zelensky is a fraud. He has no doubt been skimming aid. Read the Pandora Papers. How does this “man of the people” have villas all over the world. A complete fraud. This is just a Game of Thrones that an incompetent Biden administration inserted its nose into due to odd connections to campaign financiers supporting Zelensky.
NATO: a criminal enterprise for enriching arms makers and propping up the crumbling hegemony of the USA.
It has been obvious for several months that the Biden administration cares more about prolonging the drain on Russia’s resources than about the impact the war is having on Ukraine and its people. The goal is to keep bleeding Russia until it gives up. What they didn’t expect was that Russia would be able to easily address all of the wonder weapons, such as the M777, HIMARS, and the electronic intel.
As is typical of this administration, the response is to double down by sending aircraft, longer range missiles, and cluster bombs. But reality is beginning to sink in. Russia has been so effective that Ukraine is burning through our military aid faster than we can produce it.
Russia’s ability to convert their manufacturing to a war footing has been impressive.
Perhaps they do not have such a slow process involving bidding for contracts that took months to write while the fighting was consuming stored munitions?
The daily use rate is so wildly more than our daily production abilities but that is being ignored by those who keep claiming the West’s capacity is so much more and better logistically.
Bigger is better in almost everything but the more agile smaller base is producing huge amounts today keeping them supplied and we are issuing contracts and soon we will catch up….in a decade or two.
There is no evidence (and cannot provide independent evidence) the Russia has set their manufacturing to a “war footing”. The sanctions have/will prevent the procurement of sophisticated components for tanks and aircraft. (They’ve had to procure artilllary ammo from North Korea, FFS!)

We all know you can’t make a original comment disputing the author’s views so you troll me.
You actually believe I must prove anything to you just because you are lonely and need human interaction?

Their monthly tank manufactoring/ refurbishing output is at 120 units.
How many are being shipped in to Ukraine by the West?
How many rounds of sanctions are we at now?
If they are working as you share why is there 11 different rounds? The first 10 did not work but the 11th one will?
But where’s Russia having supply issues because of lack of munitions?
The only side that are having these issues is Ukraine.

Scott Ritter is all over Youtube as well as MacGregor sharing those numbers. Many others, some who even write for this site like Napolitano share the same.
Based on their resumes, in contrast to a Yahoo journalist that just repeats press releases, I’d go with them.
Actually a 120 tank turn around each month is not that much given it’s likely several facilities doing the refurbs and they are not the hapless Ukraine ones like that new one bragging about 2 Leppards that are due in soon for a rebuild/repair.
Germany weeks ago shared they can’t keep up with replacements as Ukraine loses the Leppards they shipped.
Sometimes, the “good guys” (what a subjective term;-) do not win and this appears to be the case.
Scott Ritter = Ephebophile
“Colonel” MacGregor = Toolbag (who’s been wrong since this war started)
Napolitano = Right-winger who has no military expertise
Wanna try again?
Whatever….
Ukraine is fully supplied and everyone is lying about supply issues.
Ukraine actually has many more tanks than Russia because Russias output is completely fake and Ukraine is hiding a bunch of them.
In fact this story we are commenting on is completely false too.
Ukraine does have enough weapons and this site needs to change the headline….
RIGHT?
Are we in agreement now?
Yes.
Whoa … that sounds like name-calling midget IQ!
Do you get your talking points from Biden?
Or the Lincoln Project side of the UniParty?
Thoroughly Modern Milley?
When he has time to spare from destroying our Military?
Sure. And do you get your TP from Putin — when he has time to spare from destroying the Russian military?
Hahaha
That’s all you got?
That’s all you’ve got, apparently.
He can’t dispute the article so he’s mindlessly mocking others in the comment section for agreeing with it.
Kind of pathetic but that’s comment sections for you….lol.
Did YOU read the article? You trolled immediately about Russian “tank manufacturing”. You did not grasp the gist of the article.
I responded to your half-assed, RT propaganda. I think you lost track of what happened or you’re a gaslighter. Either way, you failed to support your points.
Mocking? Yes. Mindlessly? No.
The troll is bored and lonely so it reappears….
Sad little troll; will it get fed a little attention ?

Unlikely. It seems to feed on attention and feigned victimhood.
Agreed. Probably too much privilege in the past for that one.

Ef you hack.
Why don’t you write a book so you can afford a decent car for your family?
For someone who claims my words have no effect….lol.
I stopped engaging with you, just like you asked — and whaddayaknow, it took you less than 24 hours to 1) find someone else to start whining about and pulling the victim-playing routine on, and 2) come back to specifically engage with me when I was talking with someone else, not you.
Maybe you should have devoted your college time to learning acting instead of to not learning economics. Because you’re really not getting that good ol’ suspension of disbelief effect with anyone.
I really ……Do not care. Talk smack about me and you’ll get it back.
Your lack of education is really bothering you….
Yet you ignore your “career” that has your wife driving a unsafe clapped out car.
No ISBNs will do that….
My wife has her own career, makes good money, and could buy a new car if she was willing to. She prefers to drive older cars and have them constantly repaired for some reason. What she doesn’t drive is “unsafe” cars — she almost always drives a vehicle with a 5-star NHTSA safety rating (Volvos, Subaru Foresters, now a Honda CR-V).
My lack of education doesn’t bother me, because I don’t lack education. I also don’t confuse “having a degree” with “being educated.”
You’re correct that I’ve never bothered to purchase ISBNs for books of which I am sole author (I am an essay contributor to a number of collections with ISBNs, and have ghost-written/ghost-collaborated on some stuff that was traditionally published). So? I also haven’t spent money on an electric dog polisher or a fur sink, because I have no use for those things either.
My “career,” such as it is, makes me happy. Does being a pseudonymous troll make you happy?
Sure….
You let your wife’s car get a huge list of needed repairs because your career is doing so well.
Could your posting be a way to avoid things like a book deal advance that would buy your wife a decent car? She knows you can’t afford a better car, she just loves you too much to share otherwise.
My wife’s car CAME with a huge list of needed repairs. She bought it a month or so ago and, being an adult, felt entirely free to do so without my advice on the subject. I saw it for the first time when she pulled into the driveway behind its wheel. And the mechanic to whom would have normally taken a car for evaluation (instead of taking it for a five-minute test drive and buying it on the spot because it was an hour away from home and she figured there were other buyers who would snap it up if she didn’t) saw it later that day and started building the list of stuff it needed to likely be good for 10 years with no more than regular maintenance. Looks like we’re down to a couple of items — valve cover gasket (and possibly crank seal) in the next couple of weeks, struts/shocks maybe 10k miles from now. In there somewhere, some tires and a forever alignment.
While I would gladly hand over a book advance to buy her a car if I sought and received such an advance, she’s quite capable of buying one herself. She chose to spend $4k cash on an old used car instead of putting down $5k and financing a new one with a 10-year/100k mile power train warranty because she doesn’t like buying on credit and carrying a monthly payment. She buys her own cars with her own income. I buy my own bicycles with mine.
Lol
Your family could only afford a junker that the hubby needed help repairing?
You need to stop with your hobby of posting while you moderate and write a real book that will earn you real money. Your wife does not deserve you but she does deserve a safe car.
It’s not that I “needed help” repairing it. It’s that I needed a mechanic to repair it. I’m the very definition of “not mechanically inclined.”
Fortunately one of my neighbors is among the best mechanics in the area, and does some work out of his personal and well-stocked garage (charging what would be his share of the labor if he was doing it at a “real” shop, so he makes as much but his friends pay less).
I do help the mechanic, because we’re friends and I learn stuff. Most of what I do is the scutwork (take off tires or put them on, help push a car onto or off the lift, go find a wrench he’s going to need in a couple of minutes so he can be working instead of looking for it, etc.). I’m kind of hoping to get useful enough to be a minor pit crew member for the Honda Civic race platform he’s building. He does a lot of performance work and “tuning” for street racer types, and happens to be big on Honda vehicles himself, although he does own a Corvette. The one he’s working on now — he just got a partially built Civic a couple of days ago and is starting the teardown, we were working on a fuel pressure problem last night — is one he hopes to take on one of those tours where your car has to be street-legal and driven, not hauled, from event to event.
Timing belts, if it has one, is every 80,000 miles.
Axles last longer than that so I know that thing is high miles (or beat to death).
A man hidng in a comment section engaging in pissing contests likely can not afford a engine.
Just sayin…..
Engine is solid at about 150k miles. It needed one CV axle. Don’t know if that one had been dragged out beyond its 100k usual life or if it was a second one that went out early. Probably the latter since the other was still in great shape.
150k?
If that Honda has a belt it’s due fr it’s 3rd timing belt/water pump per Honda maintenance schedules. If it’s not an “interference” engine it does not matter if it breaks (or more likely the water pump goes) but if it is, you get bent valves
I used to work for a Honda dealer and come from a family of mechanics that owned many Hondas.
Ignore me or listen; do not care; I did my duty and it’s on you now.
The timing belt is good for 100k miles, not 50k, and it was one of the first things the mechanic checked (while commenting about how great Honda’s K-series engine is but that he wishes they’d stayed with a timing chain rather than belt, despite some common tensioner problems when they were doing the former) as soon as he notice the water pump problem and surmised that the car hadn’t been properly maintained. It’s still in good shape, having likely been replaced at 100k. But he does have a note in his maintenance log for the car to check it at some particular future mileage.
And the water pump was one of the things we just did. Which, as I mention, was what made him decide to start digging into other common areas to see what else might have been left un-maintained. That, and the fact that some former owner had t-ed a vacuum line in to run an actuator for some kind of kid trick car BS, and had put the t on the wrong side of a junction. So he wanted to see if any other weird shit was present.

Right now, the “do real soon” stuff is down to a minor oil leak, and we’ll be replacing the valve cover gasket and crank seal in the next week or so. Then it’s on to some routine stuff that he doesn’t do — a couple of tires and an alignment. The ball joints had been done very recently; he replaced the lower control arms and suggested a forever alignment since it should get struts/shocks in another 10-15k miles.
$4000 for a $1500 vehicle that needs repairs or a car note is the alternative.
It’s a high milage Honda, which is due for a timing belt/waterpump which you never mentioned but will find out about soon…lol.
And you ride bycycles….
You honestly write too well to be in this financial situation you are in.
Thanks for the compliment. While I make less money now than I did as a union factory worker, my family’s financial situation is reasonably good. I’ve pitched a book proposal or two, but haven’t had any takers. Maybe I will some time. Until then, I’ll self-publish what I find interesting.
She buys used cars that require TLC because she just hates the idea of making monthly payments. Maybe that’s from years of job insecurity before getting the job she’s had for 20 years (same boss, two different universities — when she got THAT job, the computer consultancy she worked for had just laid her and a bunch of others off, and the place that paid me a regular salary had just gone bankrupt, putting me largely into freelance and self-made projects territory, where I’ve stayed). Or maybe it’s because she got rooked by a slick dealer with an expensive lemon back in 2012 and doesn’t want that to happen again.
It’s interesting you come up with $1500 for the car — that was my initial reaction as well. But I’m a cheapskate. She actually got it for about $1,200 below blue book value with them telling her of about $1,000 in repairs they thought it needed. That number will probably end up being closer to $2k because there was some stuff they DIDN’T mention and that someone actively hid (pulling the little pressure spring out of the radiator cap so that the leaking water pump housing wouldn’t be obvious, for example; not sure if that was the person who sold her the car, or the person who supposedly sold THAT person’s dad the car right before he died; their story was he died, they got it, and it sat for a few months before being put up for sale when the estate cleared probate).
I ride bicycles because I prefer that to driving for a number of reasons. But I have been thinking about getting a driver’s license (haven’t had one in 20 years or so, since I lost my wallet and had bureaucratic troubles getting a replacement) with motorcycle certification and buying something I can comfortably travel more widely on. In fact, I’ve been weighing that versus spending about the same amount of money finishing up an associate’s degree at the local community college and seeing if I can find an Old Guy scholarship to do a bachelor’s at the University of Florida (probably in history). I think the motorcycle would be more useful, as I have no real ambition to teach.
Do you ever look at the prodigious posting you do here and wonder why you did not devote that time to a few book proposals?
You can get a lot published writing for free but you know your wife deserves better than a clapped out Honda pushing that many years.
I have to be here. I get paid to be here. Might as well spend an extra 10 minutes a day posting while I am here.
My wife can afford any car she wants within reason. I don’t choose her cars. She does.
We both know you took this job to have time to write the next best seller but you rather get into pissing contests with this small audience because real writing takes more effort than a comment section.
I took this job because if someone didn’t take this job, commenting was going to be shut down entirely. Before that, I was just a volunteer doing a little of this and a little of that.
You’re right, though, that real writing takes more effort than a comment section — because commenting takes no effort at all. It’s something that consumes very little time and that happens during fairly natural breaks between the real writing, the proofing, the content curation, the comment moderation, and the other things I do for my own projects and for various clients all day long.
70 to 80,ooo miles. Do the math.
150k means its due for it’s 3rd belt/pump.
It is not the belt it is the water pump you are concerned with.
The belt can last much longer but the waterpump does not. If it goes it takes the belt out because it drives the pump.
This only matters if it is a interference engine.
Your “tuner” will verify this.
Non interference it does not matter and if it’s a chain it does not matter either but the water pump is likely due anyway.
Likely the previous owner did it at 75,000 and knew it was due again at 150,000 and could hear the axle clicking which meant a even bigger repair bill so it was time to sell.
The parts should be under $50 online and you’ll need a 10mm for most of it (if I remember correctly.
I think I’ll trust Honda’s numbers and my mechanic’s judgment, but thanks for weighing in. The pump has just been replaced. The belt is in good shape and has obviously been replaced in the not too distant past.
If the pump has just been replaced so has the belt.
That is per the maintence schedule as I have been sharing.
It is literally Honda’s numbers and that new pump verifies it.
150k means it should have a new pump/belt around now and you just shared it does.
I do not understand why you are arguing, all you had to do is share at the beginning of this, it was replaced as it should have been not this many posts in.
“If the pump has just been replaced so has the belt.”
Incorrect. The water pump was replaced because it was leaking. The timing belt was not replaced, because it was in fine condition.
Lol
Whatever….
They saved under $15 by not replacing that belt when doing the pump.
It’s just one of things you replace while replacing the pump because the labor costs are so high to replace that cheap belt wears out.
That leaking pump was going out per schedule at that 75,000 mark if the previous owners had done the scheduled replacement of both at their 75,000 mile mark.
If that belt looks good it likely does not have 150k on it. But if it does look original it was really shade tree not to replace it while doing the pump no matter what it looks like.
You seem to be conferring with your buddy on this because as more you share the more the work is being done per schedule not as you seem to believe I’m sharing.
I haven’t mentioned you to my mechanic. We talk cars and MCU, not Internet commenting.
His interest isn’t in “saving me money.” He already does that, because he just charges mechanic labor, not the shop share. His interest is in trouble-shooting the car, identifying what it needs immediately, and what it will need in the future. He’s worked on all our cars for the last five years or more, but he’s glad we finally got a Honda, as that’s his wheelhouse. And he loves the K series engine especially. We’ve never had a car problem that seemed in any way attributable to something he missed or messed up. Between my wife and daughter, there have been three vehicles totaled in wrecks during that time — one my wife’s fault, one my daughter’s fault, and one where my daughter got rear-ended at a red light by a large truck traveling fast, and the fact that she was in a Volvo may have saved her life. Two others developed transmission problems which were more expensive to fix than the vehicles were really worth, and one was just a lemon that we were lucky to sell for nearly as much as she paid for it, without lying to the buyers … which is why I keep trying to get her to buckle down to a few years of payments and buy something brand new with a nice power train warranty. Hell, HE has told her she should do that instead of nickeling and diming, although he’s glad to help out and make money doing so. She can afford it. She just doesn’t want to do it. I wish she would, so that I can go help him turn Honda Civics into race and sideshow cars for fun, instead of having to be over there doing rinky-dink stuff so my wife can get to work.
Lol.
I just shared Honda’s need forbelts/water pumps every 75,000 or so because if you don’t catch them when they go out they take out your valves and you simply had to share it has a new pump which kind of proves my point does it not?
The belt is simply done at the same time because it is a cheap part and all the labor is already being done while you do the pump.
Please don’t justify why you bought the car. We all have reasons but it is finances on things like this. Your wife can spread sheet it out and see the daily cost of a reliable $4000 car is much cheaper then a new car’s cost. I do not know the house prices are where you live but I see higher SUV payments than a cheap old house’s payment around here ( with a decent down of course).
I would buy a house and drive a clapped out Honda before I bought a new SUV and rented.
You are taking a chance with it but hopefully you’ll get some miles out of it.
It is old enough that it won’t be costly for parts especially if you pull them yourself on the used ones so you can likely drive it to death.
“Please don’t justify why you bought the car. ”
I won’t — because I didn’t buy the car.
Finances aren’t my reason for suggesting that she buy something with a nice long power train warranty. Convenience is. We’re not especially wealthy, but she makes enough money that she doesn’t have to either rent a car, arrange rides with our daughter, or just stay home for several days, at least twice a year, because her latest beater is down for repairs.
This car seems to kind of important you to keep the thread going ….
All you had to do was share was about that new pump way in beginning of this when I shared the miles at 150k is point it needs one and we would not be so many others in would we?
What are you putting off by all these posts about your your new Lamborghini (as a friend calls his clapped out Honda)?
I’m not putting off anything. I have to drop by the comment section periodically, and when I do I usually comment about whatever seems interesting.
You are having one boring day if this thread is interesting….
One of the things that goes under “interesting” by default is “someone is speaking to me specifically.”
You seem to want to talk about the car, so we’re talking about the f*cking car. Can’t say it’s ESPECIALLY interesting, but I’ll only bail if it gets really, really boring.
I shared the maintenance schedule at the very beginning because it’s obvious your finances aren’t great and despite our differences I’d hate to see anyone have engine problems.
You really believed I wanted a long thread with you about your wife’s very used car?
All you had to do was share it had a new pump immediately in your first reply to me but you strung me along for how posts before you shared it?
I really did not want to have a long thread about your clapped out Honda because honestly everything seems to be a pissing contest with you.
Taunts and teasing is one thing, (who cares about those?) but this long thread could easily been shortened if you had shared it had a new pump immediately and did not get into pissing mode and want to share about podcasts and other personal stuff about finances (don’t do that dude) or not needing to be bumming rides and other mundane stuff.
I’m the one who mentioned that among the first repairs to it was replacing the water pump.
Then you went off on some tangent about how the timing belt should automatically be replaced when the water pump is replaced.
And then apparently forgot what you’d actually said.
Damn, if you don’t want to talk about my wife’s car, don’t talk about my wife’s car.
It’s seem like you are projecting here, Tommy. Just like your pet troll. If there are any attention whores here, it is you.
C-.
Try harder.
See? This is another example of your ignorance. Schools in Eurasia don’t use latin letters for grades. They use numbers.
I’m not from Eurasia, nor do I have any reason to believe you’re from Eurasia. So why would I be concerned with using Eurasian grading conventions?
“So why would I be concerned”
Because your grade is very important to me.
Does laughing at you count?
Laugh away. You seem to need it.
Dude you are trolling a website for entertainment.
That is so sad when one steps back and observes……. but entertaining to me as you try to interact with normal people.
I’m thinking you’re not entertained at all. I’m thinking I’m so far under your skin you want to scream but can’t in writing.
This might help: breathe deeply. Then just put your phone down and don’t respond. (You WILL feel better. I promise.) Peolle like you shouldn’t get down into the mud with people like me. I’ll
Keep grinding you down and I’ll keep enjoying it.
That’s because you have no idea what you’re talking about but you want to keep trying to hang out with the adults. It’s a mistake.
Lol
Trolls that rationalize their hobby are so cute.
Angry never wins. But you keep trying. Maybe you’ll beat the odds.
Is the sad lonely guy still here?
It’s amazing how loneliness make some like you to troll websites.
That’s the projection I was waiting for. It’s delicious, BTW!
Laughing at you with family and the two buds that drop by today says otherwise lonely troll.
Please. Post. Support. For. Your. Assertions.
(I’m calling BS.)
Once you say someone gets their talking points from Putin then yes you are a mindless conspiracy spewing hack.
Where do you get yours from, a**hole? BTW, THAT is an ad hominem argument. (I helped because you didn’t actually know what one is.)
Your like 14 years old and it shows.
My inner troll wants to argue with you but you’re obviously some sort of middle school incel or something. I don’t want to promote your white supremacist trolling. Jesus loves you.
Please. Post. Support. For. Your. Assertions.
(I’m calling BS.)
Aah there it comes, a russophobic conspiratorial ad hominem attack. It’s the hallmark of the new idiocracy. You aren’t a serious mind.
If you peruse his comment history it’s one of a troll that attacks others.
In fact the very few he’s “friendly” with tend to be mindless morons too that use this site as a playground to screw with others.
And it seems to work so well!
I bet you could make real friends if you did not like the loneliness of trolling so much.
Brand new account with less than 1000 posts. It’s clone. And I suspect that Don troll. Same trolling style.
Donny tries and is not as nearly such a boorish @$$, this poor soul has evidently decided that no one will pay attention to him if he’s nice.
He wants everyone upset and replying to him.
It must suck to be that lonely to be honest.
If you cited Jesus Christ as an authority ZA-SU, he’d say he was a turncoat Israeli
An authority on what?
And, if I was to call him a “turncoat”, it would be Roman. Good with your history are you?
The Rabbis took him to the Romans and freed Barabbas with their votes.
Wouldn’t take much to be superior to you with your silly history.
Bar Abbas was probably Jesus’ son. They chose to save the bloodline rather than the single messiah, since someone was going to be executed by the Romans for, and in the manner reserved for, rebellion against Rome.
Yes but do you think the rabbis were “Israeli”? Hahaha
….because an alternate word for the J word, which usually rquires moderation. dumb dumb you.
Btw Military watch magazine reports a 1500 number in regards to this years tank production numbers.
But you know better than them or even this site’s authors.
Is that a real website? Do you know how to post it or are you computer challenged?
Do your own homework, you lazy bum.
Miltarywatchmagizinedotcom
I’m on my phone and I do not post links to articles.
Are you unable to do a simple search and find several disparent sources that will provide you hard numbers?
You are the one disputing me and the article we are all commenting on so it’s kind of incumbent on you to provide sources that dispute the crowd, not me.
You don’t “post” articles supporting your point. How convenient.
It’s a common number known by most.
You are the one disputing the article we are commenting on so where’s your sources and links?
That Yahoo one was a opinion piece by someone to who English is his 2nd or 3rd language, not anything with hard data in it.
You’re laziness or incompetence leads me to believe you really don’t have sources to back up what you’ve said.
Why don’t you dispute the article point by point that I agree with, like most here?
Acting the fool towards me just makes you appear to be a fool without any substance.
Am I to care what you believe and try to prove it to you?
That’s not how it works…..
Thanks for the laugh at you….
“The Russian Defence Ministry has estimated that Ukraine has taken approximately 26,000 casualties in its offensives which began in early June. Massive personnel losses are far from unprecedented,”
It seems that “Military Watch” magazine predominantly uses Russian military sources. So, I’m gonna make the same argument that you tankies use: Russian MOD propaganda.

Duane says exactly what is happening, how sad all the suffering because of this megalomania
Creepy Joke regime is just stupid. There is no other way to explain this behavior.
It is historically established that the war makes Russians stronger. Their military and economy has grown as result of clean up operation in Ukraine. Everything that the imperial regime did since February of 2022 has had the opposite effect. And the most incredible thing is, the empire double down on this stupidity!
Russia doesn’t just “give up”. The objective is to bleed Russia until regime change takes place.
Looks like France is more ripe for regime change than Russia.
And the Merchants of Death smile.
What comes next? Recriminations? Breakdown within NATO? Ukraine capitulation? Or nukes?
One way or another, it’s gonna be nukes. Zelensky wants nukes. He seems to get everything he wants with Blinken and Nuland as his best groupies. That trio will not sleep until we all die in a nuclear war! Let’s get it over with. (Sarcasm)
Hopefully cooler heads will prevail. BTW, there is an excellent 2-part documentary about Zelensky by Scott Ritter on his Substack page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLeBb6hPUC8 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq-Jab4DUhA.
Excellent documentary. Thanks for posting it here.
CensorTube already removed it. I don’t know why people even bother uploading videos to that degenerate propaganda platform.
Here’s his documentary. Both parts. https://www.bitchute.com/video/f9Cy20clUIIB/
I’ll go with Door #2 ….
I’m thinking this is another indication that some people in the Pentagon and possibly the CIA are deliberately sabotaging the warmongers in Washington. Since I know nothing and still predicted the nothing burger, the question remains: Are they more evil than stupid? Or the reverse? That’s not the problem. The problem is they don’t care. (Sarcasm)
The amoral Corporocrat ONLY cares about profits. Period.
When Ukrainians are finished, they will activate other East European pawns. Poland is next in queue.
Poland = NATO.
F**k around and find out…
Winston Churchill called the Pollocks “the hyenas of Europe”. It took the Wehrmacht less than a month to utterly crush Poland in September of 1939. Poland is a furious fuzzball. NATO would not rise to defend it with nukes either as it would trigger WWIII. If you don’t believe that learn your history of the Allied response to Poland during WWII.
Did you really just use a slur in your response? You DEFINITELY have shown your true colors— along with being totally wrong with you take. But you keep going, kid!
Oh you poor victim.
That fat English pig said many stupid things. I don’t see Pols running to front lines to die for the empire. They tolerate North American Terrorist Occupation because Anglo-Americans said they will protect them. No reason to go to war with Russia on their own. Let “brave” Capitan America handle it.
LOL that’s just what the British promised the Pollocks prior to WWII bonehead. Learn some history ….
We don’t have same geopolitical realities as prior to WW2, bonehead. You think Poland can just exit from nato, attack Russia and run back in? An attack from Poland means WW3 because it allows Kremlin to retaliate against entire Anglo-American empire.
It wouldn’t take an attack from NATO to “allow” the Kremlin to “retaliate.” The Kremlin, like other regimes, does whatever it decides to do — whether that be something smart or something incredibly stupid — and offer whatever excuses it feels like making for doing it.
Your naive view is often very amusing to me. You don’t know much about Russian Federation of Slavic civilization in general and you construct a distorted image from little bits of distorted information.
Very likely. The native populations in occupied European countries are disposable. Especially so in former Warsaw Alliance countries. Reducing the native population in Europe is one of imperial goals and the flames of “safe” war far away from US and England is a perfect tool to accomplish that goal.
to quote our greatest living war criminal, soon to be rebranded “peace” envoy, “…, to be Washington’s friend is fatal.”
The “Kiss”inger of death …….
Hey Zelensky apparently doesn’t mind the men of his country being pawns in Proxy War, so why would the Proxy mind? I feel terribly for all the brave men on both sides that are fighting and that have fought and lost their lives over this war. I know a lot of them don’t want to be there, and if the U.S. was true global force for good they would have never allowed this war to begin or continue for this long. Zelensky you will NEVER JOIN NATO! If that wasn’t clear to you after the most recent NATO Summit in which not a single country Guaranteed Ukraine Admission, you need to Open Your Eyes now and see that losing a third or more of your population as refuguees and war deaths combined is recipe for Unsustainable National Disaster.
He does not care. Zelensky is skimming the aid. Why does he really care what happens to Ukraine? He is not fighting. He is a trained comedian.
He might care if his NAZI backers become disenchanted with him …….
Zelensky is a debauched, deranged coke addicted comedian who plays the piano with his dick. He perfectly represents his masters in Washington D.C.
Except that is the idea. Read Foreign Policy magazine on the idea “whose time has come — a new version of Polish Lithuanian confederstion! And without appoligy -/ the idea is to “bring aUkraine into Western Christianity”. Clear? Most Ukrainians are Chrisrian Orthodix and their Uktainian Orthodox Chirch has been shut down, in favor of stare created “Orthodox Church of Ukraine”. It is clear that lopulation is to be weaned from their tradition and thoudmsamd plus year of history — and braiwashed into accrpting “Western “ Christianity, Kid you not
— this is our premiere foreign polixy magazine!
No wonder that tge ranks of youth of this undesirable breed of Christianity is being sent over and over again to die.
Just belueve people when they say something thstbsounds weird! Ttrust me – they mean it!
The WSJ has a firm grasp of the obvious.
It’s too bad we are “led” by someone whose “grasp” of most things, obvious or not is a little wanting (to be kind).
Well, they are JUST Ukrainians, the Deep State strategized.
What’s the loss of a million Ukrainians …. or Iraqis …. or 3 million Vietnamese compared to billions in profit gained for Raytheon or Lockheed Martin or General Dynamics? Surely, you are not suggesting that human life is more important than corporate profits? The bottom line man …. the bottom line is what matters! Have you no sympathy for the Devil?
https://russian.rt.com/ussr/article/1178348-vsu-plen-minoborony-svo
“After the failure of the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: more than 40 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered in the Svatovsky and Krasnolimansky directions”
Henceforth, this assures Russia will receive at least 40 POWs from Ukraine. Ukrainian prisoners have bought a few more weeks until they reenter the meat grinder.
Practice makes perfect.
Would you mind expanding on your comment that “Ukrainian prisoners have bought a few more weeks until they reenter the meat grinder”? Is somebody sending POWs back into battle?
Simplicius wrote as much a few days ago.
There’s no reason to think otherwise after a prisoner exchange. Exceptions might be those Ukrainians soldiers who sustained critical, disabling wounds and those with a battlefield-acquired mental disorder.
But Blinken just stated that Ukraine has recaptured 50% of the land Russia had seized since the war began!
I cannot determine if Blinken is actually stupid or just good at acting stupid.
Blinken just might be one of those that God has given over to stupidity.
He alternates between the two.
He doesn’t even bother to make the lies believable, because the target audience will believe whatever nonsense he tosses out.
They know full well that the Ukies DID, as Biden’s mercenaries not only trained but also led the Ukrainian military. But the “combined arms” only works when the soldiers have been trained for years and when they actually have all the arms that need to be combined, which includes an air force. The Ukies had tanks, but eight months or so of training is not enough at all. Imagine you learned to drive last year and now you have to compete on the race track.
So they went back to fighting with artillery, where the Russians have seven times more. And the Russians bring down tens of thousands of Ukie drones every month, the drones used to direct the artillery. And the Ukies send out infantry to clear mines with metal sticks, preferring that the conscripts die instead of “combined arms” that blows up the Western vehicles.
There are no “combined operations” without complete air superiority. None.
Some thing i have said many times American and it`s NATO LACKEYS never go to war with countries who have a viable air force .Iraq Libya , Afghanistan ect ect , thats why America and it`s NATO LACKEYS will never take on Russia or China in a stand up fight .
Correct. This is nothing new either. From the start of Manifest Destiny, America has avoided war with military peer nations. Case-in-point, the Mexican – American War of 1846 to 1848 and the Spanish – American War of 1898. HL Mencken wrote many essays about the cowardice of America’s East Coast Elites of English heritage.
No, Virginia, there is no “the shining city on a hill.”
“When America is no longer good, America will no longer be great.”
Our country can never regain it’s honor as long as we allow the war mongers who midwifed this abortion to roam free.
Either we have to jail them or turn them over to the mother lovin’ Russians.
It’s amazing how the Neocon / MIC monsters will simply walk away with billions of dollars / euros and forget about Ukraine the moment it becomes unprofitable.
Our country?
Now you are American?
Pff
Clearly, the Russians are fighting a defensive war and time is on their side. The Neocon MIC sponsoring the Ukrainian Army is being systematically destroyed. Ukraine is becoming a testing ground for Russia’s own MIC. When will the Ukrainian people wake up to their being used by the soulless, war-mongering American / European Neocons? The whole affair is a bitter tragedy.
Time and the Clock…!
The core of every industrialized civilization is based on 7 essential elements – fresh water, agricultural production, mining, power generation, transportation, manufacturing and a labor pool. The Russian Federation has enormous reserves and highly developed networks of all 7 of these elements. Russia can afford to fund and fight this war forever …..
At least you admit the Russians are on the defensive. It’s a nice first-step toward reality. Keep going!
Bonehead ~ A defensive strategy is based on your opponent overplaying his hand. Muhammed Ali called it rope-a-dope. The Soviet Union destroyed the Wehrmacht using a defensive strategy during WWII. I realize this kind of reasoning and understanding of history is way beyond your low IQ and Wikipedia references but just wait and see ….

You never played sports, huh. Cheerleader? Fluffer?
Ahh, name-calling. What better way to telegraph losing an argument.
Aww, do I have a low IQ?
Defense is fine if you can attrit the offense. It doesn’t look like that is happening.
Maybe you one of those genious sports fans that still says “defense wins championships” —which hasn’t been true since the Steel Curtain! Hahaha. But you keep trying! I’m sure your mom would be proud!
You’re just plain boring child …..
That come-back really shows the kind of wit you bring to the table. I think I’m gonna have to throw-in-the-towel! Hahaha
“Defense is fine if you can attrit the offense. It doesn’t look like that is happening.”
Ukrainian forces have struggled to push through Russia’s defenses, which include vast minefields, resulting in heavy Ukrainian armor losses in the first few weeks of the counteroffensive.
I don’t know how you define “attrit the offense”.
“losses in the first few weeks of the counteroffensive.”
How about since? Or are you going to post the pic from June 24th again?
“The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.”
The article was from Saturday. I would imagine if things had picked up since the first few weeks, the article would have been unnecessary. It would have been replaced by something trumpeting Ukraine’s success like we had seen early on in this war. Even the MSM can’t get excited enough to spew their normal propaganda. It can’t be going all that well.
And I never posted any pic from June 24th.
The Ukes have changed tactics and are using small infantry movements and then using counter battery fire to diminish Russian artillery effectiveness. (You would know this if your sources weren’t Russian!)
You won’t even acknowledge Rybar’s accounts of Ukrainian advances.
Copium, my friend. Copium!
Please. Post. Support. For. Your. Assertions.
(I’m calling BS.)
And diminishing Rusia’s artillery effectiveness means the counteroffensive is successful? I guess if you lower the expectations enough, anything will sound like a success.
And once again, I don’t read Russian sources. This very article has the MSM stalwarts calling the offensive a failure.
Now why would anyone suggest the US is using Ukraine as fodder? C’mon boys just push a little harder. Never mind those corpses you’re stepping over.
Ukraine had a bigger army than Turkey the second biggest NATO army after the USA.
The USA/NATO LEADERSHIP knew Ukraine could not win the war against Russia with funding alone, they are not that stupid, but they are ruthless liars. With all the CIA and the MI 6 and satellite surveillance they must have known the the size and quality of the Russian army. Hubris and lying and self deception, and even now, stupid Biden claimed in Vilnius that Ukraine won the war and Putin lost. Mission accomplished like Bush, the senile president learned nothing.
Who is in charge in the WH asylum, don’t we have a right to know?
Spiders in a jar phenomenon in full affect.
Volodimor Ziolenski and his terrorist regime blame their Pentagon masters and Anglo-American imperial regime and their propaganda blame Kiev regime. This is the best admission you will get that so-called ‘counteroffensive’ is a complete failure.
All of my comments are “FACT CHECKED” and 100% verified by anonymous and confidential sources. They cannot be identified because they weren’t authorized to divulge the info in practically every one of my posts.
1/ this is so sad – what ukraine’s being a proxy means – ‘let’s throw a thousand of them at the front lines and see what happens’ (‘ya do want to win, doncha, boy? remember, no win, no nato!’), maybe that ukrainian grit we’re always talking up will win the day, like in a movie
2/ this was fairly signposted in advance – with all the ‘big offensive’ delays, there was a lot of mainstream media on not being ready and, then, tamping down expectations for a big impact
3/ ‘they weren’t ready’ is part of the necon position too, where it’s an excuse for ukrainians losing, and a grounds for attacking democrats:
before the failed counterofensive, the nyt’s david french attacked the biden admin for urging ukrainians to fight when they weren’t prepared – his solution being massively spiked materiel, starting w/f16’s;
and that’s the right wing/neocon/Republican position now – that you’ll run into in mainstream editorials and comments – ‘the Dem’s have never given Ukrainians enough to win’
4/ the reply, btw, being ‘this is an existential fight for russia, so they’re gonna keep counter-escalating, as they have…so there is no ukrainian victory – just a wwi type war of human attrition’
If Ukraine makes massive gains between now and the election, it is all due to Biden’s strength, powerful military instincts, and resourcefulness.
If Russia makes massive gains instead, it is all due to Biden putting forth a stupid plan that betrayed both Ukraine and the US, and sacrificed a half a million brave patriotic Ukrainans for nothing.
American MSM discussions and politics are broken beyond belief. I read lots of alternative sites and try to find out what is common between them. It is kind of nice reading conservatives that do not hate my guts for being woke. Our MSM supports Corporate America, which does not discriminate. It wants Americans of all political persuasions to live as the slaves did in the early 1800s.
NOne of our business in any way. We should butt out.
Out of Ukraine? Ukraine should have could have made peace a year and a half ago. Boris Johnson vetoed the peace deal, and Zelenski agreeing to this veto has resulted in Ukraine getting decimated to the point that it will take at least a generation to clean it up and rebuild it. The fighting to come has a good chance of destroying substantially more of the country.
“Boris Johnson vetoed the peace deal”
Lavrov publicly announced Russia’s rejection of the draft deal the day before Johnson arrived in Ukraine.
