US Concerned as Ukraine’s President to Visit Munich

US warns Russia could exploit this

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is planning to head to the Munich Security Conference this weekend, which is fueling more US predictions of doom over Russia.

US officials say they’re concerned at Zelenskyy leaving, calling it too risky and warning that Russia might find some way to exploit his absence.

This comes with the US predicting an imminent Russian invasion, but as Ukrainian officials say they see the situation as unlikely, they clearly view the Munich visit differently.

The US has plans to hype NATO unity, and likely by extension anti-Russia narratives, which could be why they aren’t going to welcome Zelenskyy, who isn’t in constant panic mode.
