On Saturday, the Israeli military killed four Palestinians along the Gaza Strip border. The four were armed with AK-47 rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, and bolt cutters. Israel’s military presented it as a “large-scale terror attack.”
It’s not clear what group the four attackers were with. Israeli troops
fired at them first, killing all four. One threw a grenade at the
troops, but did not manage to wound any of them in the process.
The Israeli military says it holds Hamas fully responsible, saying that
Hamas is automatically to blame for “whatever happens in the Gaza
Strip.” Hamas, however, is distancing itself from this incident.
Hamas says they believe the attackers acted independently, and
transmitted a message by way of Egypt saying they had nothing to do with
the attack, and are not interested in further escalation.
Sad news.. Rest In Peace, my brothers.
Pictures provided by the Israelis show these four men were anything but heavily armed.
They each had a rifle, but only about one spare magazine each. That isn’t enough to fight troops.
They had one hand grenade, in addition to the one they tried to throw from much too far away.
They did have an RPG, with six rounds. They were various types, one or two each. It was a grab bag assortment. Since they didn’t use them in their only fight, one can wonder if they really knew how.
This is not the picture of a heavily armed assault on the Israeli Army.
I fully agree, Mark .. The photos provided by the Israelis show these 4 men were anything but heavily armed .. My, how the IDF loves to exaggerate incidents such as this one.

Yes, they did have an RPG, with 6 rounds. They were various types, 1 or 2 each. It was a grab bag assortment, indeed .. Since they didn’t use them in their only fight, one can wonder if they really knew how to use them.
