Israel has spent decades talking up the potential for a war against
Iran, and invested heavily in lobbying the US to be hostile toward Iran.
Recent talk of the US attacking Iran and starting such a war has
Israeli hawks, unsurprisingly, crossing their fingers.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz says the country is continue to
encourage Trump to “press ahead” against Iran, but is also concerned Iran might “accidentally” stumble out of a limited war into a full “military conflagration.”
Since Israel will definitely be involved in that war, Katz says that
Israel “continues to devote itself to building up its military might”
for the event that they are drawn into a US-Iran War, a war that to be
clear Israel has been trying to con the US into starting for many years.
European nations are still trying to prevent such a war, and trying to
save the P5+1 nuclear deal, which the US has withdrawn from, and which
Israel has opposed from the start. Iranian officials express hope for
such a deal, so long as the Europeans can ensure sanctions relief.
As risk-adversed as the Israelis are I suspect that they will supply the bluster provided they receive a large infusion of US cash.
Yeah right. Israel can’t even handle Gaza. They’re just standing behind Trump’s legs and talking smack, like a good little toadie.
So Katz thinks the way to avoid the danger is to press for more violence. The israeli way of peace.
Well, they should lead the way then, shouldn’t they?
How many troops and tanks and planes is Israel willing to commit to the battlefield? I suspect the answer is the same number they committed in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, and Syria: ZERO.

But as the noise gas subsided, and Arab allies are not there to support US, now Israel wants to go! However, the problem remains for Israel that until Hezbollah is degraded, Israel will suffer badly for an Iran war. So any comment Israel makes about “full military conflagration” is intended to remind the US and the neocons that Israel needs US help to deal with Hezbollah – preferably before the Iran war starts. Because once the Iran war starts, the US is going to have its hands full with Iran and may not be able to spare troops and B-52s for Hezbollah – leaving Israel to get it in the neck (which I would love to see happen.)
