Iran Rejects Saudi Arabia’s Accusation of Aggression

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman, Abbas Mousavi, rejected Saudi Arabia’s accusations of aggression. “Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi … rejected the baseless accusations by the heads of certain Arab countries … and said: ‘We see the Saudi effort to mobilize [regional] opinion as part of the hopeless process followed by America and the Zionist regime against Iran’,” Iranian state news reported on Friday.

On Thursday, Saudi King Salman said his country and others in the region have failed to stand firm against Iran, resulting in “naked aggression,” from Iran. Salman called for the Arab world to confront Iran with “all means of force and firmness.”

Iran has been denying many claims of aggression from US leaders, Mike Pompeo and John Bolton both recently accused Iran of sabotaging four oil tankers in the region. There is still no evidence linking Iran to the attack.
