Hezbollah’s television station, al-Manar, is reporting that their forces launched two separate attacks on ISIS forces along the Lebanon-Syria border, killing nine fighters including two who they identified as ISIS commanders.
The fighting took place on the outskirts of the border town of Arsal, where ISIS and al-Qaeda have repeatedly launched attacks on Lebanese forces. Hezbollah says they overran a “meeting” being held between the ISIS leaders in the area.
Hezbollah claims the meeting was to plan an offensive against Baalbek, a major Lebanese city in the area, and identified the two slain ISIS commanders as Abu Akrama al-Zouhouri and Ahmad al-Mohsen. The others slain were not identified.
Since Hezbollah joined the Syrian Civil War on the government’s side, they have fought repeatedly against ISIS and other rebel factions. The fighting has mostly been inside Syria, but has also brought attempts from the Islamist factions to attack Shi’ite targets in Lebanon.
Whatever really happened there, at least it seems Hizbullah is doing its part for stability in the region… problem is, with ISIS being armed by a combination of the USA, Israel, House Saud and possibly Turkey, it's going to be tough for little Hizbullah to bear the brunt of the fight themselves. Last time I checked, Iran's Quds force was stuck in Mesopotamia (Iraq? what's that?) fighting against seemingly most of the Sunni tribes there, and Assad's Syrian Army was slowly but surely being consumed by an unending war of attrition, even if regularly resupplied by Russia.
Will it take the Houthis to invade Arabia to temporarily stop the flow of weapons to ISIS?

When Hezbollah first entered the Syrian wars some years ago, the tide turned very quickly. Hardly a surprise..
When the Islamic State attacked Lebanon and created a state of war with Hezbollah, surely it became self-evident to any man with some vision that a puppet of Empire USA was the Islamic State. For the last thing ISIS needed was another enemy, especially a mighty military that evicted Israel from Lebanon.
For nothing that the Islamic State has done has harmed the “national interests” of our Empire, which is to maximize profit for our oil and war materials industry.
