A number of top diplomats from the European Union and elsewhere are angrily condemning Israel for the military’s plan to expel Palestinians from eight villages and then destroy those villages to make way for “military training” zones.
Israeli officials have been trying to destroy the villages since 1999, but had been blocked by the Israeli High Court. The Defense Ministry now insists that the villages were “illegally built” in military territory even though they have been there since at least 1830, some 150 years before the military claimed it.
The destruction of the villages would displace some 1,500 Palestinians, who the military plans to force into the city of Yatta. The military argues that theoretically some of the villagers could be “terrorists” spying on their training, and that the court wouldn’t have jurisdiction to prevent them from such demolitions.
The de facto annexation of even more Palestinian land to Israeli military control will bring the stalled peace process into even closer focus ahead of a planned Palestinian bid for statehood. Israel has given lip service to the idea of granting the Palestinians some sort of state in a fraction of the West Bank, but that fraction seems to be dwindling all the time.
Forced transfers of civilian populations by an occupying power are also illegal under international law. This is likely to be a key focus of diplomats, though Israel has been doing this sort of thing for decades, claiming “national security” trumps humanitarian law.
Palestine has to liberated to 1967 borders etc….Israel represent Nazi regime of "our days", everybody know it. If Mankind does not correct tnis "colosal theft of land, robery and mass murder", then their satanic vision of NWO will continue making steps to TOTAL WORL SLAVERY ….peter czech
This kind of anger by the EU governments MP, even the Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt whom is the Israelis agent of some sort, is nothing new.., the fact is that Palestinians don’t need any more “anger” protest by the EU nor the US government or its senators, if they are so angry then they need to seat down and draft a resolution to prosecute Israel for fact against humanity forcing ICC to prosecute Israeli government over what they are doing, what they are doing is against all kind of laws, or following on their anger making sure that Israel goods are not sold in EU under a falsified names as made in Spain, or Morocco and Etc. that Israel is boycotted and by all means.., that is the only language that Israel apartheid regime will ever understand, otherwise we all are angry at what this regime dose to people.
It's 'lebensraum' all over again.
AIPAC is preparing a Congressional resolution which asserts that the state of Arkansas was illegally formed and recognizes Israel as the rightful owner of the Arkansas Territory.
Surely the Congresmen of the US would all say aye to this, as long as their pockets are full of dollars.
And who are the residents of Arkansas to complain? The state wasn't part of the union until 1836.
When actions by Israel are allowed to stand, you can be sure of bad times ahead, really bad times.
It's not "forced transfer", silly- it's nothing more than….. "relocation", a term which many older European Israelis should be very, very familiar with.
Maybe Israel figures that if you're gonna be called the name, you might as well play the game: Apartheid.
"Blast" lol. Surely this blasting is definitely of a different nature than the blasting that the US and Israel use all the time in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and through their proxies in hundreds of other places. Theis blasting has the concrete quality of blowing up things and in the rocess ending lives, especially those of innocents. The former, the ones produced by diplomats, especially western ones, is just hot air.
There will be no mercy for the fascist government of Israel once it has stepped too far. It is only a matter of time before Israel's end is upon Us. Such tyranny, and unbridled terrorism will not go unanswered. The unfortunate losers will be the Israeli populace wihtin what is Israel. The settlers will learn soon enough…
