Predator Drones Being Used by Local Law Enforcement in US
America’s drone war over America? It’s more likely than you think.
Reports coming out over the weekend say that military Predator drones, the same kind used for assassinations in the Pakistani tribal areas, are now being used by local police departments inside the United States. In Grand Forks, North Dakota, officials confirm at least two dozen drone missions for the local police coming out of the nearby Air Force Base. “We don’t use drones on every call out,” promised SWAT chief Bill Macki, which might be at least some comfort for the time being.
