In a secret meeting with German MPs, top NATO officials reportedly confirmed that over 10,000 missiles inside Libya are still completely unaccounted for, with Admiral Giampaolo di Paola saying that the missiles pose a “serious threat to civil aviation.”
That’s because among those missiles they still haven’t found are over 5,000 SAM-7 shoulder-fired suface to air missiles, which could be easily used by any terrorist to shoot down aircraft.
Admiral Di Paola was said to have warned that the missiles could show up anywhere from Kenya to Kunduz (Afghanistan) while a Libyan general expressed concern that the arms had “fallen into the wrong hands.”
Fear about the Libyan missiles has been growing since the fall of Tripoli, as the Gadhafi regime’s forces left the weapons dumps unguarded, and the NATO-backed rebels did nothing to secure them. Instead, the weapons were looted en masse, with many already smuggled abroad.
We can only hope the "new" owner(s?) will know what to do with these spoils of the NATO rape of Libya.. Try spelling NATO with a swastika instead of an "N"…!!! Can't find it on this Imac keyboard…
Just visualize the N slightly tilted with a bolt of lightning shot through it to symbolize how quickly protecting civilian life degenerated into all out bombing and aggressive war… attempted? conquest…
So NOW they're worried about the Pandoras box they opened? As if.
When your goal is to destabilise this is what happens.
The Israelis have warned about this scenario more than a month ago. Nobody listened. The world have to bear the consequences of bad planning.
Yeah, them Israels was all warnin us what the World Torwers was gettin blowed up an stuff , too !
Not to worry, Uncle Sam will find these missiles eventually … in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., & probably not under the best of circumstances.
Sidenote re: "…to shoot down aircraft". This is the purpose of the specifically mentioned SA-7. But if I remember correctly, Israeli warplanes suffered 99 SA-7 strikes but lost only three (3) of these struck aircraft in the (6-Day War?). And if I remember correctly "small arms & SA-7s" were considered "low threat" weaponry by the USAF. Of course this is military related & not entirely relevant to civilian airliners & such.
While things like the SAM-7 may be poorly effective against modern fixed wing aircraft, they can be absolutely devastating to helicopters. Remember the role the Stingers played in the Soviet defeat in Afghanistan? Exactly.
IMO This information ONLY serves as staged news to deliver a sound, widely accepted reason for an open ground invasion.
Isn't it strange that after a half year of massive bombing attacks all over Libya anit-air missiles are still in storages instaed in any hand of soldiers or on any roof in Libya?
Where are the hundreds of shot down helicopters and airplanes ?
USA/NATO+ special forces /CIA were always on the ground to conduct the uprise and war so it would be no problem to identify + and bomb or shipping away those aledged storages.
Interesting idea and one I'd not thought of. You may be right because if Libya did in fact have all those thousands upon thousands of surface to air missiles then why did they never use them? I sure as hell would have. To the last one.
I don't believe a word what the psychopaths at NATO say. Surely, everything they do has an evil purpose.
And – of course – if one of these missiles is used (God forbid) to shoot down a civilian airliner – those pointing out that this is a text-book example of blowback will be called treasonous terrorist satraps. Thus is the upside-down world we live in.
When the USS Vincennes shot down the Iranian Airbus in their own airspace they claimed they thought it was an F-14 as if it wasn't a war crime to shoot down an Iranian F-14 in Iranian air space. The men of the Vincennes were all awarded Combat Action Ribbons for completion of their tours in a combat zone. Lustig, the air-warfare coordinator, received the Navy Commendation Medal. Plus Captain Rogers was awarded the Legion of Merit "for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service as commanding officer. You would think the Vincennes was the USS Liberty being strafed by the Israeli air force as opposed to slaughtering a bunch of defenseless men, women, and children.
Just goes to show that a multi-million dollar "defense" system can't tell the difference between a jet fighter or a civilian airliner. But, then again, you'd have to suspend disbelief to accept the American version on just about anything.
in fact i saw the iranian passenger plane incident 3 times on the BBC news 24 where an ex militaryintellignce officer stated we shot ot down to intice iran to retaliate so we could bomb them too tank God they didn't take the bait b on a docementary when the cia tried to get rid of the freely elected iranian leader with the shah but hey who cares we r the good guys
ALL evil acts will backfire!
Any question as to why the colonial powers would have lost World War 2 without the rest of the world. I would suggest that no on travel to israel or the Europe for the next year until they can run down all those missles which were under control until they colonial powers AKA NATO attack for no good reason.
This is probably another lie to add to the thousands told on a daily baises. That is exactly whats going on reasons for boots on the ground followed by a occupation. Its sickning but people are waking up to the lies they should have long ago but better late than never.
