In new comments, Senate Foreign Policy Subcommittee member Sen. Lindsay Graham (R – SC) called on the US to increase the amount of money spent on foreign aid, declaring “Egypt is the prize to be won.” After terming foreign aid “very complicated” he went on to insist it is “good for the American people and the American government to reach out and help.”

Good old Lindsay Graham has come up with an old technique for USA influence. Pay money (bribes) to enforce international policy on poorer countries just like we do with Egypt and Jordan. But from whom will we borrow the money buy such influence? Our credit cards are currently maxed out.
3.8 Billion in Spending, 2.2 Billion in Revenue this time around. How is the southern interventionist Pooba Senator L. Graham propose to get the money for this. All leading indicators are suggesting they going to put the military in same 401ks instead of a 20 year pensions because they can not afford to pay the troops at the same level, ergo (that is fancy british-english talk for because ) YES, MILITARISM is one of the key reasons the UNITED STATES is DECLINING as a power
Trillion, not billion for this budget, my mistake
I'm not sure who is more dumb and stupid – Lindsey Graham or the people who continue to vote for him?
Excellent point Mr. Navy vet, take a look at LGs monetary profile and one can see his increased wealth, certainly the contributions are just an indication of the thirty pieces of silver that he took for the sell out of his elected public servant position. Time to nail these traitors. I am an Army vet, an saw the bullshit money game close up. On the flip side I would never have understood the game afoot if I had not touched an tasted it. Currahee
The USG is bankrupt. It cannot afford to keep the promises it has made to its own people, and its credit rating has been recently downgraded by Standard and Poors. The only thing increasing more rapidly than the impoverishment of the American people is the rate of deprecitation of the dollar. Now Senator Graham wants the USG to tax, inflate, and borrow more money in support of a failed foriegn policy. Senator Graham is an Idiot.
I can't for the life of me understand why this fat REMF is still relevant. And I agree with NVWV above regarding why the people of SC continue to vote this buffoon into office. It's not like he's done anything good for the poor people in his state – except advocate for more wars which are fed by the poor and underprivileged in say…South Carolina.
If these wars are soooo important in his little mind, why doesn't the Senator resign his cushy, privileged position and give up his big office and all the perks that come with it and volunteer to go to these war zones and serve for the 15 months like the ground-pounders from his state do now. Perhaps he'd have an epiphany!!! And for those who want to bring up the Senators tours of duty as a JAG in the Iraq war, the Colonel was stationed in Doha – nowhere near the sound nor smell of the real war.
