India’s Maoist rebels reportedly sabotaged a high-speed train today by removing a piece of track in West Bengal, causing a derailment that left at least 115 people dead, a number officials acknowledged could still rise further.
Over 200 people were also wounded, overwhelming the local hospital, whose director reported “we just aren’t set up for something like this.”
Officials say that the rebels removed a foot long piece of track, causing the passenger train to flip and slam into an on-coming cargo train on the other track. Maoist posters and leftlets were left at the site.
The attack will likely prove the deadliest attack by the Maoist rebels, called Naxalites, in quite some time, and one of the rare occasions when the rebels hit a purely civilian target. Generally, Naxalite attacks have centered on Indian security forces sent into the woods to hunt them.
The Naxalites began as a rebel group in the 1967 rebellion in Naxalbari but the group now has significant influence throughout eastern and central India. The group is attempting to carve out an independent Maoist nation in the so-called “Red Corridor” of India, an impoverished area where the group is based.
The Murderous Maoists are criminals and thugs who must all be put to jail and destroyed. However, I'll betcha a million dollars, the US media won't make a big deal about this, but will leave it in small print, since they are more in upholding politically correct agenda and, therefore, are quite compatible with the Murderous Maoists. They actually suported the Maoist thugs during their recent upheavals in Nepal against the lawful king of the country, whom our PC hacks claimed to be "authoritarian" and "tryanical".
One will note "reportedly sabotaged", which has a Sanguinettian ring to it, since the Naxalite Maoist usually target police, army, landowners, etc.
As for who they are, the program is land reform:
"The term Naxalites comes from Naxalbari, a small village in West Bengal, where a section of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) led by Charu Majumdar, Kanu Sanyal and Jangal Santhal initiated a violent uprising in 1967. On May 18, 1967, the Siliguri Kishan Sabha, of which Jangal was the president, declared their readiness to adopt armed struggle to redistribute land to the landless. The following week, a sharecropper near Naxalbari village was attacked by the landlord's men over a land dispute. On May 24, when a police team arrived to arrest the peasant leaders, they were ambushed by a group of tribals led by Jangal Santhal, and a police inspector was killed in a hail of arrows. This event encouraged many Santhal tribals and other poor people to join the movement and to start attacking local landlords…"

As in China, as in Mexico, as in Cuba, as in Vietnam, as in many other places–rich landowners and psychopathic Capitilists grinding down abysmally poor rural peasants just never learn, do they?
Given the state of mainland China nowadays, one wonders whether Britain itself might be now better off if the British peasants the British Classic Liberals and Social Darwinists exterminated in huge numbers during enclosure had had a Mao.
In Britain and Ireland both these "Liberals" used the "law" for mass murder of millions upon millionsof their own people, mostly women and children.
