After several months of sort of spinning its wheels in the war against ISIS, retired Gen. John Allen, who’s become sort of the global ambassador to the war, says the Iraqi “ground offensive” will begin in a matter of weeks.
Gen. Allen, whose comments were made to Jordan’s state media, said the coalition intends to provide “major firepower” for the offensive, and that the goal is to “take back Iraq.”
The comments don’t go on to say exactly what this offensive will include, but they certainly give the impression of this being the “big one” which Iraq has been hoping for to try to retake Mosul.
It may also be the excuse the US military needs to transform its massive “training” mission into a direct combat operation, as Pentagon officials have suggested they may recommend direct involvement if the Iraqis prove themselves incapable of fighting ISIS.
Did Allen mention what the US planned to do in Iraq after retaking it?
Hope they bring an ample supply of body bags..
We cannot verify any of the atrocities that ISIS is said to have committed. One of them looked staged, but it got Jordan the cover it needed to execute prisoners and to attack ISIS. I would imagine most of what we have heard about ISIS directly is fake, in order to achieve the return to Iraq in time for the next round of presidential elections. Oh, and the oil is probably light, sweet and oh so crude. The Mideast Adventure continues and the Empire is Back.
Feb 9, 2015 The Globalization of War (and How to Resist It) – Michel Chossudovsky on GRTV
Michel Chossudovsky joins GRTV once again to discuss his new book, "The Globalization of War." We discuss the threat of nuclear warfare, NATO's use of proxy terrorist armies to destabilise sovereign nations, and how people can fight back against the US-NATO war agenda.

uh oh…more carnage straight ahead. Hope the Amerikans have ample supplies of body bags.
Patience people, we just have not employed the same old ineffective strategies and tactics long enough. This time we're going after their railroads, armament and munitions factories, as well as their steel and ball bearing factories. We will kill our way to victory, so help us God!
You have no understanding of the steely will and resolve that results from spending other peoples money w/o being accountabile to anyone.Hope our guys don't get hit w/the weapons the Iraqi's will be throwing over their shoulders at the first sign of the real Iraqi Army (ISIS).
Pretty soon the Iraq wars will be competing with Super Bowl as to who has the larger Roman Numeral next to it. Them poor people.
We want to be Saddam Hussein 2.0 in this theater of the absurd.
Imagine if the USSA were to wage war against a country not of the 3rd World Arab variety.
We love Iraq so much we can't stop penetrating her again and again.
