In comments today following a meeting with President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R – KY) said he believes that an authorization vote on the ISIS war could come in the “near future.”
Under the War Powers Resolution, a vote is required for military action lasting more than 90 days. The ISIS war began in earnest in September, but no vote has been scheduled.
According to Sen. McConnell, the White House still hasn’t decided on the language of the resolution authorizing the war, and they’re simply waiting for such language before holding a vote.
With hawks dominated most of the committees in the new Senate, it seems like the passage of any authorization vote should be fairly easy, so long as the wording is vague enough to leave open the prospect for escalation.
There are those who believe and argue that ISIS and Islam are one and there are those who says that this war is about civilization colliding in Europe and elsewhere. ISIS and those whom are supporting the movement, no matter what or who they are, their war is not about Islam nor they are civilized, if they were they wouldent let a little boy to become a murderer by letting him to kill, they wouldent have a bazaar of slaveries buying and selling women's, they wouldent beheading journalists or do as they have done in Paris.
There is no civilization nor these people represent anything but a idea from 500bc. A caliphat regime like the one that exist in Saudi arabia and other alije country's in from of modernized yet fashionable regimes serving the western countries weapon industry while their supply last. This is 20th century, world is no longer about Islamization nor the caliphat "civilization" from 500bc.
There are two obstacles for democracy and its growth in middle east, one is Israeli government presenting an utdated apartheid regime, second is Saudi Arabia and CCG presenting a neo Islamic fascism as ISIS in Iraq and Syria. In that regard, Israel needs Saudi Arabia and saudi Arabia needs israel, both are beneficial if ISIS becomes a regional divider between Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon unity, which is the main reason for Saudi prince Bandar creating these barbarians.
No doubt, being so patriotic, they will attempt to join the front line themselves. It's called putting your money where your mouth is.
War-hawks — Dumb like a fox
All of these war-hawks in Congress, all put into office by a very war-hawk voting majority, so will the root cause of such corruption — please stand up?
Now we know that all of the rich ruling class are war-hawks, for our war economy is the main reason why the 25% most wealthy are able to hoard 80% of the economy, 80% of wealth and 99% of all inherited wealth.
So, the half of our darling voting majority that is hiding in the weeds, who could they be? But surely, not from the lower half of society, the laboring-class that does all the manual labor for slave-labor wages, surely not so fool are they as to waste time voting for their next set of dictators.
And so, the upper-half most educated, the upper-half highest achievers and the upper-half that hoards all the wealth, they are the voting majority and root cause of all the greed driven problems facing America.
Therefore, you may argue tell your blue in the face that our voting majority are sincerely devoted to an honest democracy, but be that as it may, they are most deceitfully hoarding all the wealth.
So the US will war on its creation, ISIS? Give me a break! This is no more than a cover for the US war on Syria.
Israel needs its growing room as it tries to scare everyone out of their homes to go and live there. Helps to offset the the demographic bomb – population growth of the Palestinians…that and periodically mowing the lawn in Gaza and the WB, as well.
What my problem is – these multilevel cowards who obviously have aims and goals in the region – grow a pair, get out there with your famed army, and do it all yourself. Stop hiding behind p!ssed off Arabs and do your own damn dirty work. Show your true colors for all the world to see.
If you call your representative, ask that he/she take the trouble to read the 28 redacted of the 911 commission report. I did this the last time I called and it was the first time that the staffer seemed to be flustered. The people in Washington know what a scam the War On terrism is but are busy with their careers and prefer to bury their heads in the sand.
Better never than late, I say.
ISIS/IS is above all an Arabic phenomenon wrapped in Wahhabi Islam. Religious extremists want to convert non-extremists but ISIS/IS is also out to conquer territory and establish a new Arab state in what was once Syria which was denied the Arab nation by Western lies, subterfuge, and wars since 1919. Because ISIS/IS is nationalism wrapped in the Koran it can never be defeated because it will always re-appear in a different form. In fact it had once appeared in a much more secular form not too long ago when Nasser was president of Egypt. Remember "United Arab Republic"? If that had succeeded there would not be an ISIS/IS today.
ISIS are Barbarians, worse than the Nazis. So, they must be destroyed but it must be a dicision by the UN SC.
