Israel continues to escalate its attacks on the Gaza Strip, focusing on residential areas, including an apartment block destroyed overnight, nominally because the huge complex included a Hamas ‘command center.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu followed up the destruction demanding all Gazans “evacuate immediately from every site” that has any Hamas usage and to “stay away from terrorists.”
That means there’s literally no place to go, since everything in the Gaza Strip, including the refugee shelters, have been claimed by Israelis at one time or another as a “terrorist” site.
That’s been the continuing theme of the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip, with Israel constantly ordering civilians out of their homes in anticipation of imminent attack, but not a single safe place for them to flee to.
There’s no end in sight to the war either, with another 10,000 reservists being approved for callup today, bringing the total called up during the war to 108,000. Some have been sent back for rest, as Israel tries not to leave reservists on active duty for more than a month at a time.
Just in case anyone had the impression that after Nuremberg this kind of sadistic destruction had been removed from the lexicon, guess again. But this time, the perpetrators are "allies" of the allies and therefore this behavior is acceptable to the "leaders of the free world." This is not a difficult comparison to make and the truth of it should not be allowed to be hidden – or redefined.
There is nothing in the history of the relationship between the US and Israel that could possibly justify the US looking away from what the Israelis are doing because what they are doing is completely immoral and an unjustifiable depravity.
The Geneva conventions were changed largely because of what the Germany did during WWII, the mass killings of Jews! Short of having crematoriums Israel has taken the N.A.Z.I. playbook lock stock and barrel, Gaza has its similarity to the Warsaw Ghetto's. under rationed food, water, power, submitted the prisoners and yes they are prisoners they cannot leave freely, to group punishment, they have knowingly attacked Hospitals, schools!
Note Geneva requires all signatory countries to STOP breaches of Geneva, to arrest War Criminals when and where they can and to fail to do so is in fact a war crime in itself! However sadly the United States ONCE a country of law has become as despotic as WWII Germany was, who think it is acceptable for themselves to commit war crimes as well as their Allies! This can only be remedied by getting rid of the UN security council veto!
we need to go back in time back to a time when America as a country of law had Supreme Court Justices with integrity and Justices who knew exactly what War crimes were and how to deal with them, men who made statements like this!
