While most of the effort of the Obama Administration has been trying to convince an unwilling Congress to “delay” any new sanctions as Iran negotiations move forward, a collection of hawks in the House of Representatives are looking to move beyond that dispute and just flat out start a war.
The ironically named “United States-Iran Nuclear Negotiations Act,” would condemn Iran for “deception” dating back to the 1980s, and would authorize President Obama to attack Iran whenever he decides talks have “failed.”
Author Rep. Trent Franks (R – AZ) presented this as bolstering the US negotiating position, and insisted it didn’t count as a formal “Authorization for Use of Military Force” even though it explicitly endorses the use of military force.
Franks explained this as important because he didn’t want President Obama to “telegraph” any possible attack on Iran, and would rather be able to sneak attack them at any time under the resolution.
For a long time, US corporations like Exxon and Bank of America, the US government, Dianne Feinstein herself, and other government and corporate backers have been funding cost/benefit analyses and instruction manuals on how to invade Iran and install another pro-American regime – in other words, aggressive imperialism.
Here, I go through one such report, which was funded by all of the above-mentioned sources, from 2009, titled "Which Path To Persia: Options for a New American Strategy Towards Iran":
http://empireslayer.blogspot.com/2013/10/if-iran-…
Here are some items, quoted directly, from the table of contents in the report:
"Going All the Way: Invasion"
"Airstrikes"
"Allowing or Encouraging an Israeli Military Strike"
"Toppling Tehran: Regime Change"
"Inspiring an Insurgency: Supporting Iranian Minority and Opposition Groups"
"The Coup" (this chapter lays out plans to carry out a second US coup against Iran, the first haveing been done in 1953, as you all know)
"Containment"
The latest bag man for war. There always appears to be an unending supply.
He was distinguished for ignorance; for he had only one idea, and that was wrong.
Benjamin Disraeli
It would hasten the departure of the Zionist regime but Obama is no fool to fall for that stunt.
"…didn’t count as a formal “Authorization for Use of Military Force” even though it explicitly endorses the use of military force."
Then..why go thru the effort? Ah, but someday down the road, Mr. Franks will pull this out of the folder and insist that this legislation DOES authorize the President to attack Iran. But, maybe Franks is just pandering to the large Jewish segment of his constituency.
Another Isrealhell ball licker.
I don't give any credence to these warmongering armchair blimps who are supposed "representatives of the people" when the people don't want war. Fat, pasty, sweaty armchair warriors who never served and all they care about are serving their corporate masters. Not only should they be run out of town on a rail, but the rail should be a spike that separates what little brains they have from their necks.

Any politician who votes for war must be put in the Front lines with a rifle. No more WAR PROFITEERING while others bleed, make these War Mongers serve in the Front Lines.
I would encourage the Rep. from Arizona to take a flight to Honolulu, drive out to Pearl Harbor, visit the shrine at the sunken USS Arizone, and try to think for at least 60 seconds about his advocation of a US "sneak attack" on Iran. My later brother was a Navy combat pilot in WWII and I served in the Korean War. Neither of us ever had any regard for "sneak attacks" on anyone, especially by our own beloved country.
The French opening salvo of torpedoing the Iran deal is just a warm-up for what the radical neocon idiots are doing right under our noses in Congress!
But here's the real danger in the relevant text of Rep. Trent Franks' virtual AUMF Bill, HR3292, which along with growing support of his neocon warmonger nut-jobs would push toward nuclear war in the Middle East.

I urge all sane Americans NOT to take this insanity lightly!
