Two major human rights groups are chiming in on the imminent US attack on Syria today, cautioning that it is a big mistake that will make the humanitarian situation in the nation, already dire after years of sectarian civil war, all the worse.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in particular expressed concern that the US was using their statements about civilian deaths related to exposure to chemicals as a justification for the war, saying the statement was no substitute for a UN investigation into whether it was a chemical weapons attack or not, and that they had no solid evidence of their own on what, exactly, the civilians were exposed to.
US officials had latched on to the part of the MSF report that said victims showed symptoms of exposure to neurotoxins, though it skipped over the part that said it wasn’t sure what those toxins were, and also skimmed past the 355 dead part so it could reiterate rebel claims of thousands dead.
The Red Cross is also warning against the attacks on humanitarian grounds, saying that a US attack would further damage Syria’s infrastructure and create another new influx of displaced civilians in a region that is already overwhelmed by them.
I have rarely seen such overwhelming opposition to a war from commentators at the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Many anti-war comments are registering 25 or 30 to zero. And when you consider major media has supported the Obama line and war for over a week. This time nobody except congress is buying it.
"This time nobody except congress is buying it" – just like Sodastream (another Israeli product that ethical customers are rejecting).
In one hand the British Neo liberal fascism, David Cameron saying that: use of chemical weapon in Syria is a act against humanity and calling on ICC to prosecute those whom are responsible. In the other hand the British people have firmly said that they don't want to have any British military involvement in Syria. If the matter of war crime based on the evidence of war crimes then the Iraq war is the most clear evidence in man kind history where British, so as Americans committed crimes against humanity by invading Iraq and killing a million Iraqis, baby's when the very same liberals were committed to oust Saddam Hussein voting at UN and at home imposing their inhuman boycott of Iraq, using chemicals depleted uranium against Iraqi people which still kills Iraqis and having birth defects on thousands of new born baby's; therefore this man should be busy prosecuting Tony Blair and those inside and out side of Labour Party prosecuting them for war crime, if not willing handing Tony Blair and others over to ICC then in respect to what he have said he needs to either start the process of prosecution or start thinking of himself being prosecuted for helping terrorists continuing their atrocity in Syria. If Neo liberals are "people's" government then why they have continued following the Bush regimes in Libya and then Syria. Why they are going after the British working man and women imposing their harshest economy on them, the answer is: they never were people's politicians, they were born with a silver key to their RR as their birthday present, because Tony Blair never worked in a factory in his life feeling the working people pain yet he was managing a scheme political party named "Labour Party" which he didn't know nothing about either words.
