At least three women were killed today and two men were wounded when NATO helicopters attacked a civilian neighborhood in Kandahar Province’s Zhari District, according to the provincial governor’s office.
NATO has so far declined comment on the attack one way or another to the press, but the governor’s spokesman said they had acknowledged the incident to their office.
The attack is the second major NATO strike on the district in as many weeks, as an attack last week on Zhari killed nine civilians, including six children.
There was no indication of any activity around the area that would be expected to lead to “air support” being called in, and the governor’s office says at least four rockets were fired at the civilian houses.

Killing other peoples CHILDREN for FUN and profits…………………… "as an attack last week on Zhari killed nine civilians, including six children". Gen. James Mattis:Gen…… "then a lieutenant general, told a crowd in San Diego that it was "fun to shoot some people" and said that some Afghans deserved to die." The question to ask such monsters [President Obama's pick to lead military operations in Afghanistan] is how many children they should be alloted to kill per troop…!!
Millions killed… and yet America's conscience has not even been grazed yet. It must be indestructible.
Maybe it doesn't exist. Or maybe it went the way of its common sense when they elected Bush the idiot first and Obama the misleader last.
keeping up the agenda
This is the big problem in usa, many americans think they are superior and that they have the right to decide who to kill. They even think they have to fight terrorism in the middle east, but they are the terrorists!
And again….this is happening over and over. A psych would call it a pattern of behaviour. That means it's a habit, not a regrettable incident …. For NATO to continue this pattern of behaviour, there must be a 'payoff' for them…I'd be interest in what that is…apart from, they just love to kill innocent people!
Just imagine if the rule of law actually applied to everyone, at all times. Whoever responsible would be charged with, at the very least, negligent homicide. But wait, if you charged everyone who accidentally or purposely killed civilians, we could never fight a modern war, I can hear people say. And to that I say…exactly!
