GOP Debate: Rep. Paul’s Aversion to Torture Draws Scorn From Fellow Candidates

Everyone knows Ron Paul (R – TX) is a different sort of candidate from the rest of the Republican field, but the CBS debate centering on foreign policy give him an opportunity to really underscore why that is.
Rep. Paul rejected the notion of starting wars against Iran and Syria, but drew perhaps the most scorn for his comments calling torture “uncivilized and “un-American.” Gov. Rick Perry (R – TX) condemned the notion of not torturing people during a war as a “travesty.”

In the televised hour they gave him 89 seconds. 89 seconds for the only candidate that has a different opinion on foreign policy. They are scared to death of non-interventionism and will wreck this country and bankrupt us completely before they give up one inch of their empire.

I find it disgusting that the most bombastic bastards get so much time to spew their hate filled hot air. Where is the balance?

Whats the diference between Attilla The Hun, Hitler and the current crop of American Presidential hopefuls???
Except for Ron Paul they are all powermad, crazed and vile human beings who believe in torture and are happy to use it..
Is this the true America??
Have we lost our souls?
The terrorists have WON if the American people have degenerated to this degree that they see nothing wrong in what they say and do.
GET RID OF THIS LOT AND VOTE IN THE ONLY MAN WITH SOME SPARK OF HUMANITY.
RON PAUL IS THE ONLY CHOICE IF AMERICA IS TO RETURN TO SOME SORT OF DIGNITY AND SUBSTANCE , AND RESPECT IN WORLD AFFAIRS.

I wonder if we Ron Paul Republicans are going to wind up voting for Obama like we did last time as the less bad of the two candidates. Or perhaps there will be an acceptable third party candidate.

The ONLY way Dr. Paul gets on the final ballot is as a 3rd party independent. The Repugnicans will never allow him to win the nomination as one of them. This is surely the demise of the Rep party as the divide created by the far, far right wing ideologists has widened to the point where what used to be standard Republican viewpoints are now considered too far left and ideologically distasteful.

The real division is not between Democrats and Republicans. It is between Ron Paul and everyone else.

Obama has turned out to be worse than Bush.
America's only hope of regaining some respect in the world is for Ron Paul to run as an Independant giving Americans the chance to vote for a decent law abiding President who will honour the Constitution as envisaged by our founding fathers.
God help America if this does not happen.
