Obama Argues for Continuation of Afghan War
Insists War Not Technically a Failure Since It's Still Going On
The latest in a growing list of things which President Obama has admitted wound up being harder than he thought is the disastrous war in Afghanistan, which is approaching its tenth year with worsening security and no end in sight.
But the war can’t technically be called a failure, Obama insisted, even though it has all the trappings of one, since it isn’t technically over yet. He also insisted the war would have to continue primarily on the basis that he can’t think of anything better to do.
Obama insisted that the Taliban’s return wouldn’t make the world safe, and therefore he wasn’t going to end the war, he also conceded that it is likely to continue for many years to come, which is in keeping with what a number of military officials have been saying.
Oddly President Obama blamed the lack of military victory in Afghanistan on the war in Iraq, which is strange because only weeks ago the president was championing the claims of military victory in Iraq and thanking President Bush for his “commitment.”

This war is allegal brutal, unhuman catastrophic, against humanity. We will have no peace in the world if america don,t quite afghanistan and Irak.
We have become bettler our nation is suffering due to american policy to destroy WTC just to attack Irak and Afghanistan for oil. This is mistake of american planner.

Why didn't Hitler get the peace prize, too?
Good Luck

No prizes were awarded 1939-1943. Actually who cares what a couple of peripheral European nations think anyway. The Chinese are said to have a pile of money, they should start stimulating the world economy, and buying favors, by giving away prizes. More grotesque that Obama's Nobel is those prizes Blair keeps winning.

People need to wake up to reality. It isn't Obama or Bush or any single US President. I've been inside this beast for a long time, almost 70 years, and know for certain that the US Government is the primary, most dangerous, terrorist organization on Earth.

Do Not Vote Democrat.
The 'antiwar' party is now 'arguing for continuation' of the Afghan War. Just like Bush did. If you voted for Obama because you oppose the wars, you got conned.
Now, Obama's FBI is kicking in the doors of peaceful antiwar activists. Just like Bush did.
If you are a Bush-era criminal who tortured other human beings and made them scream in pain and left them physically and mentally maimed, well, Obama's FBI loves you and won't investigate you. If you are a wall street crook who stole millions of people's life savings through manipulating the housing market, well, Obama's FBI loves you and won't investigate you.
But, if you are a peaceful activist who's concerned that their country is going around the world killing and maiming and torturing other human beings, well Obama will send his FBI to come kick in your front door and steal everything you own and destroy your house.
Do not Vote Democrat. We can not vote Democrat. Obama has declared war on the anti-war movement with Obama's FBI raids. Do not vote Democrat.
Of course, don't vote Republican either. You know that just leads to more war and more FBI raids, just like voting Democrat.

Me.
Sorry, tried to tell everyone. But no one listened. The danger with electing Obama is that now there is no opposition. With Bush, the Democrats at least pretended to oppose this. But with Obama, now the Democrats and Repubicans unite to continue these wars. And, when you saw all the big corporate $$ in Obama's campaign accounts, you knew damn well that he wasn't going to end these wars.
Obama himself talked about the Afghan war as the 'right war' or the 'good war' before the election. Obama himself promised to spend our tax money on increasing our bloated defense budgets before the last election. Wasn't anyone listening? Or was everyone fooled by the way the Democrats spin some small differences on strategy and tactics with Bush into the charade of opposition to the war.
If so, you were only hearing what you wanted to hear. Because all Obama ever said was that he could run the wars better than Bush did. Obama was never against the wars.
Oh well, don't blame me. I voted for McKinney.

Hitler just got "man-of-the-year" from Time magazine.
Nice to know the American corporate media hasn't really changed in 70 years.
Kinda surprising he didn't get a peace prize. The Swedes were allies of Hitler and sent Germany important minerals all through the war.

Wasn't Obama the one forcing his generals in Afghanistan to commit to a withdrawal timeline? Now he says the war will go on for years. Which is it?
Or maybe this is another Iraq, where they report an end to the conflict to great fanfare while renaming "combat troops" into "advisors." Yeah, that worked wonders in Vietnam.
Mr. Obama may very well go down as the most feckless, spineless tool of the corporate elite in American political history. Given that we've had a couple centuries of political puppets, that's saying something.
