US Attacking Yemen After All
Cruise Missiles Hit Multiple Sites in Concert With Yemeni Govt
Just one day after a very public denial that American forces were in the process of attacking sites in Northern Yemen, President Barack Obama ordered multiple cruise missile attacks on sites across the tiny, coastal nation.
The air strikes were coordinated with the government of President Ali Abdallah Saleh and the attacks left 120 killed, many of them civilians according to witnesses. President Obama called Saleh after the attack to “congratulate” him on the killings.
The Yemeni government denied any US role in the attacks, despite American officials’ admissions. This is largely in keeping with the Saleh government’s policy, as they angrily denied reports of Saudi attacks in the north as a myth even as the Saudi government was giving a press conference detailing the attack.
One Yemeni official however claimed that a local al-Qaeda “deputy” named Mohammed Saleh Mohammed Ali Al-Kazemi was slain, and that “scores” of al-Qaeda members were killed in the assorted attacks.
The conflict with al-Qaeda is just one of many conflicts currently going on in Yemen, including an enduring separatist movement in the south and an increasingly violent insurrection in the Shi’ite north. Technically Wednesday’s State Department denials appear to have been accurate, as the missile strikes were in a completely unrelated conflict from the one they were accused of taking part in.

Yeah, RP1… You were correct, but what was the choice?? McCain is all military success and no negotiation… He said some rather scary stuff….. Would you have voted for McCain knowing what you know Obama would add 33,OOO to Afghan the theater..??
Actually Webster Tarpley said McCain would be best because he would be weak with a Democrat congress…. How is McCain on Iran..??? "UUUhhh "Bomb Bomb Bomb, bomb bomb Iran"..?????
That could turn out ugly…in a show down with the one country could hurt us….Russia… and McCainn is a fuck-up….shot down, beat up and a POW…. It's not success, but failure…. I still have a little hope for Pres. "O"…. but the needle is almost on EMPTY!!!

Behold the latest Nobel laureate ordering the slaughter of innocents from afar. What a guy!
Is there any amount of brutality that the outlaw Obama regime can unleash on the world before the idiots who awarded him a peace prize will publicly apologize for such an egregious decision?

The article is fake. How can Obama call Saleh and congratulate him for the killings. Even the worst dictator in the world wouldn't do it.

In the first paragraph, Yemen is referred to as a "tiny" nation. According to the map, it looks about to be about 800 miles by 200 miles. Tiny compared to what?

Is the breaking of every single election Pledge made by a person seeking election to the Office Of President of The USA grounds for impeachment of that person should he be elected?
Obama has broken every single promise he made during the election campaign – In fact he has done the very opposite of what he promised to do in the very first term of his Presidency.
The American people shoud impeach this man . He is not worthy of the Office.

This is an impeachable offense. If they don't have the Yemeni government's permission to do this, then this is an impeachable offense. This is an illegal military action in another sovereign country. To be legal, we need either an act of war or an invitation from that country's government.
Not that anyone cares about such things in the USA anymore.
The founding fathers knew that war was one of the greatest threats to liberty. Thus, they were very careful to spell out exactly what it takes to go to war, and to make sure that both houses of Congress, including the House of Representatives with its most direct representation of the people, had to vote for war before we could attack into another sovereign country.
Anyone who's worked to destroy that system is anti-American who's helped to destroy the land of freedom and democracy that was once America. The American people need to insist that this be restored. And one way to do that is to vote out of office every single incumbent in Congress who isn't screaming at the top of his lungs about how illegal and wrong it is to attack another country like this.

whose winningThere is estimated less than 150 Al Qaeda in Afganhistan and we have sent about a 160 thousand troops and contractors to fight them to a draw . We are afraid to execute the terrorists we captured and have in Cuba ,becuase some of them maybe innocent . Of those 100 plus people killed in this Yemen attack , how many you supose might have been innocent ? I think all of them under 12 yrs old . and maybe most of them over 12 too . who is their laywer ? will he sue us ? How much do you supose Al Qaeda has to spend to keep their 150 boys going in Afganhistan . They should pay them more than we are spending becuase they are winning . Winners should earn more .

Thank-you to those who protected the passengers on the plane. Even though I didnt vote for Obama I believe his words were taken out of context. Obama qoute: "Where al Qaeda and its allies attempt to establish a foothold — whether in Somalia or Yemen or elsewhere — they must be confronted by growing pressure and strong partnerships. The quick action during the missle attacks were justified and shows that President Obama will take action when needed to defend the US and their people. Better terrorist killed then innocent victims.

I didn't know such event happen in Yemen, As long as they targeted and killed the real terrorists, it's justified and if the innocent people were killed then that's another story and must be condemned.
